My butchering friend wants to help me develop a market for my lambs with the significant Muslim immigrant population in our area. Bacon Wrapped lamb??? Sure fire hit IMO.. As a city folk type myself who is currently planning and saving for my eventual move out to the country I am glad and fortunate to have these types of thread available..

cool thread. we are closing on our house/5 acres in a week or so.... this thread inspires.

we are going to put up a green house because we don't feel like an outside garden would survive all the critters. found a cool plan here http://ana-white.com/2012/05/plans/barn-greenhouse and will be doing a variation on it. Going to start with a few chickens. The only outside connection is electricity, but obviously have propane trucked in. we have a wood stove as well in the ground floor. would like some solar, just to make sure the freezer doesn't tanks if we lose power.
