SirPrize - Why did news of continued low interest rates cause PMs to rise? Is it because that signals more QE in the future? If you mean The Bernake's announcement on Wed. from the FMOC meetings, he also hinted at future easing. |

I just started buying like 2 months ago. I've got a couple of rolls of silver dimes, some quarters, some 2012 silver eagles, and some silver shot. Loving it |

JustMidge - Awesome thread, AG_Bull and MoreThanUFC keep coming back with more updates. i assume you mean like the stores that buy gold? i looked into to doing it but i dont think its really profitable unless you can do alot of it ... i also looked into buying Stirling silver and silverware sets but again all it takes is to buy the wrong stuff for the wrong price and your out. IMO If someone is looking to get in the best bet would be to buy under $35 and hold as long as possible. $50 is a no brainier IMO, I consider anything under $100-130/oz undervalued and a buying opportunity based on fundamentals. |

JustMidge -AG_bull -JustMidge - Awesome thread, AG_Bull and MoreThanUFC keep coming back with more updates. Honestly i havent been but only because i am out of free $$$ right now (just came back from a trip). That being said i have purchased a large % of my stack around $17 ... most of my silver is under $33 but i have purchased some as high as $42. If silver was to dip below $25 i might be tempted to buy on a short term loan (Line of credit) and pay it back ASAP. just my 2cents |

Do the major companies like bulliondirect and ampex do financing? I never even thought of that. Would that improve credit? And if it was to go back to 17 would you be getting bars or coins? Just trying ti get as many opinions as i can |

JustMidge - Do the major companies like bulliondirect and ampex do financing? I never even thought of that. Would that improve credit? I'd personally buy a roll of American Silver Eagles if I had the extra cash. I wouldn't mind having some bars, but no point in getting giant ones. Cheapest way to buy is to start with 90% silver coins like 1964 and before dimes, quarters. You can find silver dimes for like $3.05 on ebay with free shipping. Also, I've bought from providentmetals.com and they are good and have 90%, rounds, bars, etc. |

CHS -It's been climbing since the election, but I would buy small positions continually. If it dips big, then go all in. The "bottom" is approx. $26-$28, so it's not horrible to buy now @ 32-33. If you wait, you risk having to buy at a higher price. This is all assuming you're in it for the long term.CHS -I've got a few grand saved up, I'm new to his though. is now a good time to buy? If you're in it for the long-term, I would buy as much silver as possible... |

Question: how many silver coins still in circulation? I've found one 64 dime from change at a liquor store, but I assume banks have machines to sort them out? |

Slouse - Question: how many silver coins still in circulation? I've found one 64 dime from change at a liquor store, but I assume banks have machines to sort them out? Banks do not do that but the amount in circulation has dwindled dramatically. I used to go through about five boxes a week and made a decent amount of money, now its not even worth it. You can mow your neighbors lawn and make more money. |
