Got mine yesterday. HAvent had time to play around with it much yet, but first impressions are great. It is big, very big, but fits nicely in my pocket anyway.

It really is buttery smooth when swiping, noticably smoother than my galaxy S2. The screen is as expected awesome. HD video looks great, the popup video player is a nice feature.

Downloaded GO Launcher so now I'll check out the OG lock screen/home screen thread and see if I can get mine to look as awesome as some of the others.

Just rooted my note, added ps3 sixaxis support, downloaded several hundred mame roms and mame4droid. Final step is to get an hdmi out box to the tv. In non-geek terms;

Me and my kid can play several hundred arcade games on my 55" led using ps3 controllers and my note. While this can be done on several android phones, the games look fucking badass when playing on the go on the huge notes screen. Phone Post

Cheggers - Upgrade is due. Currently 3GS. Considering a free upgrade to an s3 rather than drop cash on iPhone 5. I have an iPad so don't need a large screen. What'd peoples thoughts on the s3?

Love my S3. I could really use the Note 2 right now. I;m back in school and some of the features are perfect for me. My S3 is pretty much flawless though. I'm not running the stock VZW ROM though.
What are you running? I just put on cleanROM two days ago, runs nice. Will try out some more adventurous builds down the road. My friend has the note, I just can't get over the size. Would rather have an S3 and a full sized tablet I suppose.

I've been running AOKP and it's redonkosly fast. No issues with anything at all. One of the most solid builds I have used on any device and I've owned a shitload of them.

Yes, both work perfect. The stock camera with the ROM is the regular Android camera app. I believe you can install the camera from the Note 2. It's something I have been meaning to do. I do notice GPS seems to be checking my position more often, but I think that's the bad ass Google Now app pulling info that it needs. Battery seems to last longer than the last ROM I was on and compared to stock TouchWiz.

I'll dig up the camera app later and PM you the link. You are on VZW, correct?

CHILLITACO - Juz got me note2....

Gotta say the quadrant test specs run off the chart! I don't see much that this thing isn't going to be able to handle down the road.... I love the idea of one hand operated too! Glad they have that duel setting :-)
Also finding I'm using the split screen (multi apps) much more than I thought I would. Is. Check emails while watching YT etc.....

Although I gotta agree with everyone, if someone finds out some more practical uses for the pen please post!

just got mine yesterday and it's by FAR the best phone i've owned in quite a while. download "note 2 user's digest" from the play store, it's a manual that has some cool things to do with the s-pen like photoshopping, etc.

wish it had been included with the phone as it really helped me figure some things out.

Just get utorrent, then use Crome to go to isohunt and get whatever

Utorrent is good but get "bittorrent"

I don't know how they do it but its like twice as fast as utorrent and usually even faster than my windows based torrent Prof. Its seriously freaky fast! Works with chrome Phone Post

Are you guys talking about the dual app side tab?

It appears on the left as a half circle, you can push it and open any of those apps and run both at the same time on the screen. ie, go through your emails while watching YouTube at the same time etc....

If you mean that tab, you turn it on or off by 'holding' the back button the one that looks like a really curvy enter button) its an awesome feature! I think you can turn it off altogether in the settings if you like I believe... hope that helps. Phone Post

If you 2anr to stop that from appearing altogether, swipe down the status window shade ans scroll to the right to the icon that says multi window and make sure that is deselected. Got amoying for me too sometimes multi windows tab woukd c9me up accidentally alot Phone Post

I've been with apple since the 1st iPhone, I jailbreak every phone I've had, do I'm familiar with that process, but have no idea what rooting is or does, don't know what launchers or tons or anything really.
