In. Still got booze in the fridge from New Years but I planned on trying to stop drinking this year. The more I drink, the more I drink and it's been out of control for awhile. Stay strong bros. |

In, have a motorcycle race feb 17th I want to be in tip top shape for. If I have a few beers in end up drinking and 18 pack, I can stop for months on end but a Binger.

So day three of my total detox, eating clean, no added sugar, no alcohol, almost complete elimination of preservatives etc.....and I woke up with a headache that won't go away. Not sure if this is a detox symptom or I'm getting sick. Two motrins didn't help.

Massive temptation tonight. One of my best mates is going to work in America for a while and just got engaged this weekend. Met up with the happy couple and friends and drank club sodas the whole night. Felt odd.

IN! I did it for 2 months back in between April-May and it was pretty awesome. Saved a SHIT LOAD of money on NOT drinking. I was able to "look" like I was drinking with my friends. I would order a water in a drink glass with a lime in it and tell people, "vodka/water is what I am drinking". I would tip the bartender a few bucks for him/her to serve water in a glass that was the same as the rest of my friends. I found out I was sleeping better and was not as lethargic throughout the day. Well, so far so good even though last night was VERY tempting. Got a text message from a lovely looking female to go join her to catch a local latin band at a nearby restaurant bar. I stuck to the plan. Ordered the water in a rocks glass with lemon. After my 5th one, she said "Wow, you've had quite a few tonight." I paid for 1 glass of wine for her and 1 beer for one of the band members who came to say hi to us. I walked out with a $9 tab. |

for last 2 years a case of beer would last me 2 days ...tops. stopped 3 weeks ago..ive had a beer here and there...but didnt even want....going strong and feeling great |

If I can take a late start, I'm in. Had a blackout, "wake up naked don't know where you are," night a couple of weeks ago that was a beautiful capstone on a period of my life getting progressively more fucked up. Drying out for a while sounds like a great idea.

Last night I went to a bar to see a friend play, had 2 espressos and a glass of soda water, then went to the gym later. Felt pretty good about it. Had a great workout and felt the best I've felt in probably years for about 2 seconds. That's alright- I'll take it.

I've gotta slow down too...I don't know why it's so hard for me to not drink in my 40's. I had better willpower in my 20's it seems. Drank half a 750 of Glenlivet new years eve and finished it the next day. Drank half another 750 of Glen last night. I don't want to drink tonight but I'm afraid I will. |

this is my first weekend not having a sip of alcohol probably since high school. Not going to lie, there were plenty of times where I was about to give in. |
