We have a Bengal cat. A couple my wife worked with were moving and couldn't take the cat with them, so she gave the cat to us for free. It was like $800 when they bought it.

It's the coolest cat I ever seen, and I am really glad to have her. But I wouldn't have paid $800 for it.

I paid $500 for a solid black AKC German Shepherd once. That's the most I ever given for an animal.

While I wouldn't pay $850 for a cat I did $3,000 for an English Bulldog about 10 years ago. Best investment ever has he is my best friend and up until now has no health issues. My wife is a vet and one of her clients cats had kittens. I had told her I would only get a ragdoll after my cat died in Jan. if I ever get another cat it will be a bengal. I have a friend that has one and loves it but says they require a shit ton of attention.

The shelter animals in most places are killed when they dont find loving homes, so why not save one? Oh, because you can get a puppy or kitty farm pet that is a specific breed type you wanted.
