I've been thinking seriously about this the last few days and have come to the conclusion that if the government try to take my weapons away in going to go down fighting.

I have enough food and water for 6 months and enough ammo to sink an aircraft carrier. I've got a selection of handguns, a couple of AR-15's and a few other surprises up my sleeve. They better be careful where they be steppin'.

We wouldn't be the country we are without French involvement. We certainly wouldn't have won our independence without them. I'm American. France had 10 divisions fighting Germany by war's end. They had a massive role in bringing WW2 to a conclusion. Not sure if this sentiment blows the OP's mind/potato or how this factors into his ignorant belief in [American] stereotypes, but I'm sure denial, ignorance and hypocrisy will win the day.

How about telling us what your nationality is so we can make a similarly douchetastic thread?

The French have always been on the right side throughout history win or lose

1st they supported us americans during our revolution

then they supported the confederates

then they thought the Iraq war was a bad idea.

It was fighting against a far superior German war machine from the very start of the war (unlike you Johnny come latelys) and although their country fell the military regrouped and fought against the axis powers in ever single theatre available.

They suffered, along with the British, greater loss of life than the Americans.

Just years earlier they had lost 1.3 million troops in WW1.

They have also been participants in just about every conflict you could think of since 1945 including Korea, Vietnam, Suez, The Gulf War and have recently bombed the shit out of Libya and are currently in Mali.

I am not a historian but the French were being invaded by the Germans, of course they had to fight. Didnt they surrender at first and some French actually built fortifications to repell the allies?

All in all I know most of these wars were created to enrich and empower a few elite so these debates are silly.
