Here's a song I did over the summer. Im working on my singing and hopefuly will improve:)im working on better and more realistic ways of recording the drums too. These drums are the roland v-drums which sound OK but could be better. http://www.armlock.com/whatisay.mp3 |

Dude, that rocks. It could easily be mistaken for an underground classic of the garage rock era. |

KDK1, nice track...what FAB said- since I talk the talk...here's a link to one of my late-night sessions with a 4-track...I wish I could've edited some of it, the 4-track had no punch in/out so I left the tracks as they were recorded- http://home.earthlink.net/~shooto/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/DesperadotilDawn.mp3 |

I agree, people post stuff sporadically but not as much as I was expecting. I think it would help out a lot if the IUMA page wasn't such a dog, I'm growing to hate that site. I'll get something new together for your listening pleasure. http://www.mma.tv/TUF/index.cfm?ac=ListMessages&TID=345668&FID=70 KDK, that sounds really cool. I like your vocals, don't improve them too much. Shootozen, I feel like get drunk on tequila and shooting myself when I hear that...in a good way! I dig it! |

Heh, I am nowhere near the ability of the above folks, and my recording techniques are kinda... well primitive *more on that later*. That being said here's my latest masterpiece. I found an mp3 recorder, and decided to screw around with my acoustic, since I have no amp atm. The only microphone I have is the one attached to my headphones, so I set it on the desk in front of the guitar. After 2 minutes of diligently jamming my little heart out, I listened to the product and was disturbed to find out that all I could hear was hiss and my fingers scraping the strings as I changed chords. My wife, being the wonderful being that she is, saw my frustration and said something so simple and yet so brilliant... "Hon, why don't you stick the microphone INTO the guitar." So I did. This is how it turned out. http://www.geocities.com/sobered247/dickingaround.mp3 edit... I also found a song I made screwing around with Fruity Loops earlier in the night. I had just d/l'd a few Darkthrone mp3s so I decided to see how close I could come to their sound. The quality is horrid, so you'll most likely have to crank your volume and max all your eq settings to hear it. I have the trial FL, so I had to use a different program that recorded from my sound card while the song was playing, and for some reason, it barely picked it up. Sadly, this probably made it sound more like Darkthrone. http://www.geocities.com/sobered247/blackmetalwannabe.mp3 |

That sounds suprisingly good considering how you recorded it, I'm not sure what to make of the 2nd one though, haha. |

I figured most folks would have that reaction Das.. Although, when you consider what sound I was aiming for, I don't think it's that far off especially since FL seems alot more geared towards Techno/Dance style stuff. http://www.geocities.com/sobered247/TransHunger.mp3 That's a sample of Darkthrone, who I was trying to emulate. I grabbed that mp3 for free off the record label site, so hopefully there will be no copywrite/RIAA crap to deal with. |
