try to get it at 1.08, and set a a target of 1.20 set a mental stop around the 1.02 - 1.04 range. if it breaks 1.20 and hits 1.21-1.22, buy it back in and set a top at 1.18 |

EVILYOSHIDA - hope you got in at 1.08, enjoy the ride. Unfortunately, I just opened my trading account and the funds deposited haven't been verified yet and they won't let me buy anything under $4 yet. Sucks. |

wow which broker? sucks. there are other options. SOL is a great stock to get, and it's at 9.40 now. this is the type of stock you hold, great fundamentals and upgraded by goldman sachs recently. it will go up at least 20% within the next few weeks. |

LVLT up 9% today. notice how when i make calls you get immediate results and exactly on time. i said new years run for LVLT and VOILA. lol props to others for making good calls. do not be discouraged to trade, as this thread is proof you can make money with the right skills. the shady guys on top just want you to invest in index funds so they can shuffle your hard earned money around. do not be fooled. |

Awesome call on LVLT. Still riding the wave and curious to see what happens when it nears resistance. Definitely a believer in TA. Out of curiousity do you use any specific charting software? I personally have a Quotestream subscription, I like it, but I'm always open to other options, especially if it aids with TA, I'm still very raw. Any good reading sugestions? Tradermike.net used to be solid, but he doesn't update as much as he did in the past. |

no it's a lot more complicated than that. I use a variety of indicators and when they match up i make the call. but i have worked on this system for the past 3 years. |

for RSI, the most useful thing for me with that is if it's above 70 in a strong uptrend, you may want to sell out as usually there is a reversal. |

EVILYOSHIDA - no it's a lot more complicated than that. Time for the eBook fren. But no charting/streaming software at all? On a week like this I get wood seeing Time&Sales and live candlesticks. Thanks for the calls though, it's appreciated.

the core indicators to use are moving averages, Macd and RSI sometimes you should look at the CCI and OBV indicators. read up on these and when all the signals are correct you make the call. it takes practice though. just stare at charts all day and see hwo they move and you will get an intuitive sense. remember all of this is just applied psychology. try to understand what the technical indicators rae trying to tell you about the crowd. once you get these down, you will never trade using fundamentals. the gain i got for LVLT would be a fund manager's wet dream for the WHOLE YEAR and i called it it within a few days. people on the OG laughed at me when i said i didn't believe in efficient markets. i hope they read this thread. |

How the hell do you have time to look at charts all day? Don't you have a regular job, or do you just day trade for a living? |

i worked as an analyst for awhile, but quit after realizing i could make more money trading. i am joining a hedge fund to help them with their operations. right now i'm just trading. i don't call myself a day trader though, i'm a swing trader. day trading is tough and i don't like using margin. when you day trade you are going against neural network algorithms that cost billions to make. |

when you understand how to do this, you will be in the money printing business. no need for a job. your friends will be envious of you because you answer to no one but yourself. |

AIB very bad. trend is down down down. no support has been established. it's gonna keep going down for now, but you may periodically see spikes due to news and what not, but the trend is down with no reversal indiactors in sight. |

caution for lvlt. rsi hit 70 so you have to be careful of a minor reversal. keep in mind that the rsi can be in the 70's for weeks if there is mania buying. just a note out there. i still think it goes up towards 1.20. but for those that got a 20% gain ( i recommended at 95-6 cents) you may want to protect your profits. not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind. |
