The Canucks just picked up another 2 easy points playing one of the "top" teams in the NHL minor league (also known as the leastern conference), the Senators - 2-1 in a score that greatly flattered the Sens. Next up is THE top team in the minors - the Buffalo Sabres. They MAY be able to put up a fight. I could see them possibly scoring 2 goals against the Canucks. |

Uh not trying to sound like WC17, you guys won fair and square, but i wouldn't say being outshot 35-14, no shots in the 3rd, one goal off skate deflection and the other off a goalie misplay "a crushing." |

Stop it WC17 :) they won fair and square but "crush" is the wrong word. I'd call it a lucky 2 points and end the convo right there. |

The socring chances were even at 7-7. If you watched the game you'd see the play was fairly even. And it's tough to get shots in the third when you are killing off a 2 minute 5-3 plus other penalties because the refs are desparately trying to get a leastern team a win or a western team. |

1) Goeb i'm not a leafs fan. 2) "The socring chances were even at 7-7." PR just proves my point again. Scoring chances were even and you were outshot by 20. Once again, yes you won, i admit that there is no refuting it i get it, you won, we are leastern and inferior and all that. But you did not crush. There was no crushing. |

Okay maybe crush was a little too harsh for the Ottawa game. I'm sure "crush" is probably more appropriate when referring to the 3 games so far against the northleastern division... outscoring them 12-2 over 3 games. I'm not sure of the shot totals though WC17 will have to give you that update. |

Wow they almost swept that Eastern run. Too bad about the SO but still a point nonetheless. Again impressive showing. |

Sabres score in the last min to take it to OT, grats & well done Buffalo. Too bad the Canucks couldn't also squeak out the circus point, but 7 out of 8 points vs some of the best eastern division teams, and also toronto is pretty damn good. Sabourin played very well. |

Leafs destroyed Buffalo the last time we played them. tells you all you need to know about that fluke win of Vancouvers in TO the other week. |

Sabourin played a great game, it's just a shame that no teams from outside the northeast will play their top goalie against the sabres. They're sabres are slumping and teams still afraid of the offense |

Nucks were resting Lui, he only had 4 games off all year and played the night before. fluke: –noun "an accident or chance happening." Describes the laffs defeating Buffalo perfectly. Definitely an aberration, while Vancouver's 15-2-1 record vs the east in the "New NHL" is not a "chance happening", it shows a pattern of consistant play. A foreign concept to a laffs fan i know, but we can only try to educate them. |

Yea, anyone who has been able to catch the Canucks on some westcoast games should realize that the teams offense has really picked it up, and actually their cycling the puck around better, while playing better in transition. Luongo deserve some credit for their success, but I don't think there is anything wrong with your goalie stealing you a game if it happens, either way Vancouver isn't Florida, Luongo doesn't face 35-40 shots a game.. They traded one of their top forwards, Todd bertuzzi, to get Luongo. Without Bertuzzi, Naslund is not as effective, so it was expected that they were going to a more defensive team this season than compared to the run and gun offense they had the past couple of seasons. Also the defenseman should get created for helping out in the scoring department too. |

It also helps having Ohlund, Salo, Bieksa, and Mitchell on defense. |

"It also helps having Ohlund, Salo, Bieksa, and Mitchell on defense." Uh, no one in the east has ANY idea about any of those defensmen, except for Salo, who was some crappy d-man Ottawa traded away. |
