Boom! Ajax heating up. Boom! Rayburn is having a typical hot second half. Boom! Miggy being Miggy.

Tigers are peaking at the right time. They passed Texas for home field in the first round of the playoffs. I know if I were the Yankees or Red Sox I wouldn't want to play the Tigers in a 5 game series. |

They would see JV twice, Fister once and scherzer once. And Porcello once if needed. Rip. Mark

The best part is that it's not just the pitching, they are crushing the ball lately. If, and it's a big IF, they play clean defense they could be scary good. |

Hottest team in MLB right now. Peaking at the right time. Penny gives up 4 in the top of the first and the team comes roaring back again. Even the role players are producing (ie Santiago). Defense? If you are talking about protecting a lead, you can leave Miggy at 3, Santiago at 4, Worth at 6, Inge at 5, Dirks at 7, Ajax at 8 and Kelly at 9. Leave Avila at 2. Mark |

Fister and Delmon Young (.300 since joining the team) were absolute steals. |

I hear furbush has been playing well in Seattle. But Fister has been great. I am watching the game online in Rome right now. Mark

Usually I'm not a fan of Leyland but he outfoxed Ozzie today by sending in Inge to pinch hit and getting Ozzie to change pitchers so he could send out Avila to pinch hit for the pinch hitter. |
