There is not a huge difference between the two, the 2nd one has more weapons, different characters and more special undead types. But they are both great fun. If you are only going to buy one I guess I would say get L4D2, but you might be able to find a special deal for both on Steam. You have ignored this user.

Personally I think it's because it's always dark, night time, little lighting, whereas in 2 you're out at daytime. I'd say get 1 though, imo it's the better game. You have ignored this user.

The single player and multiplayer are the same game - 4 people going through a level, it just replaces players with bots. The graphics are a bit better in 2, but the extra game modes are only available in multiplayer I think. You can shoot holes in zombies, and see their limbs fly off in 2 if that makes a difference :p You have ignored this user.

Death and Taxes 416 Member Since: 6/8/11 Posts: 1166	L4D has more of a horror element. L4D2 has the melee weapons.  Both are so similar. You should probably get the first one and see if you like it. Hopefully you have some friends you can play through the campaign with. It definitely makes it more fun. You have ignored this user.

I'm not sure how it'll work in ORC, but I've read you're in a group of 5ish, and it's all about survival. If you take too many shots you start to bleed, which can be fatal, and makes you the prime target for all the infected. You can be bit and infected also, eventually losing control and attacking your team mates. You have ignored this user.
