 The next MAJOR technological achievement will be creating life from scratch.  That should be achieved within 5 to 8 years.

Aside from that, the only thing I can think of is something for the toilet.  If you ever watched "American Inventor" like 50% of all the contestants had an invention for the toilet.  Someone's bound to make a major breakthrough there.

A lot of therapies/drugs will come about as we understand more about how our genes interact with each other and the environment. (Now that we have recently mapped them out)
