Thx Chris, That seems like a really low caloric intake, do you think that is enough for a 170lber? I already have the lightforce, but I am never strict enough in taking it (tastes like shit), but I can change that easy enough. I'll give this a try though, I like the simplicity if it. Do you leave any room for cheating? What about drinks, is Green Tea or COffee ok, in addition to the 4 litres of water? Thanks So much. |

Green teas good and I don't know anythign about Coffee. Keep in mind I used this diet forthe last fight against Kawajiri and I didn't train 1 day and still made weight coming from 180 to 161. I cut 10 in water so play with it a bit but don't go over board. I never cheat when I am on my diet because I am such a foodaholic I can't stop once I start. Email me if you need anything |

Thx Chris, how long did it take you to take the weight down to 170lb from 180 with that diet? All you did was run & diet? No MMA training? thx |

So Chris, below is the schedule from your website ( www.chrisbrennan.com ); This seems pretty straight forward. I am currently doing MMA Training 5-6x/week for about 90 minutes, and strength & conditioning (cirucit/endurance based weight training) 3 x/week and running 1-2x/day for approx 25 minutes. If I follow a program close to yours, how long do you think it may take to reach 175-178lbs ((I currently weigh 184lbs), not including any last minute 'water-weight'cutting? Do you take any days off? Thanks Chris! From www.chrisbrennan.com: "Diet to cut from 180-185lbs to 170lbs. Breakfast 2 packets of Kashi Oatmeal (truly vanilla) 4-6 egg whites Snack 1 Banana and 2 tbs. Peanut Butter Lunch 4oz. 96/4 or 98/2 Ground Beef and 1/2 cup brown rice Snack 1 apple or some grapes Dinner 4oz. 96/4 or 98/2 Ground Beef or 2 chicken breast and 1/2 cup brown rice Drink a minimum of 1-1.5 gallonsWATER per day when am on this diet. Take a multi pack of Vitamins, and you can add Light Force Greens 2-3 times a day and some extra Vitamin-C. Rest as often as you can. You shouldn't feel weak in between meals and if you are eating before you train it will give you the energy to get through your workouts feeling strong." Exercise Prescription: Cardio: Minimum 20 to 30 minutes Morning Minimun 40 Minutes Evening MMA Training, Conditioning & Sparring: 2-3x/day More info at www.chrisbrennan.com |

I really don't have any cheat days once I start my diet seriously becuase then I tend to have a hard time getting back in the swing of things. I just stick it out till the end. It shouldn't take you more than 2-3 weeks and your weight should be on target. Faster if you play a little with your caloric intake |

Chris Im very curious to ask... dont you find cutting weight the night before, the morning of and afternoon of the weigh in quite taxing on your body? Feeling dry for so long must be quite difficult. I myself have tended to cut water weight as close to the weigh in time as possible, in the hope it places less stress on my body as possible(over a shorter time period). My last cut was 10 lbs in water over a 1.5 hr period (179.5-169.5) It was difficult and of course painful. I didnt use albolene....I'll have to try that one. Have you tried cutting in this manner? And whats your opinion on it? Do you think this method is more taxing? |
