No Hasek, Iginla, Datsyuk, Kariya, Henrik Sedin in the West, and Jagr, Savard, Afinogenov, Kovalchuk, Jokinen. I understand they want at least 1 player from each team but this is ridiculous. Jagr doesn't want to play in the all-star game. But i'm pretty pissed off to see Simon gagne and not Rod Brind'amour, no one on philly should be there, don't care what the rules are. |

Jagr has been battling some injuries & declined, as did Iginla and Pronger. |

Wait a minute, if the laffs are supposed to be "Canada's team" and the most popular franchise in the league, why were none voted onto the all-star team? Sadly as a token show of charity they put Kaberle in there. Rory Fitzpatrick of all people got more votes than any of the laffs. goeb there is no "rule" about having a player from every team there, but in the spirit of the game they do make an effort to represent every team. Rod would probably enjoy a couple of days off this time of year more anyways. I wouldn't get too worked up about it, the game means nothing. |

If he rejected the offer and said he doesn't want to go thats fine. But out of appreciation (and also since I don't think he's ever even been to an all-star game), it is a bit weird to see Eric Staal and Justin Williams there but not him. In reality the game means nothing, but the NHL should do something about it so it does, like they do in baseball. The Youngstars game is probably gonna be more exciting than the all-star game. |

The one redeeming aspect of the ASG is possibly seeing Crosby and Ovechkin play on a line together. |

Afinogenov getting snubbed was bad. Last time I checked..3 of the top 6 forwards in East voting were Sabres...I think Vanek was the other one axed. That's fine,I'm not a big fan of the allstar game. The old timers game and skills comp. is good though. |
