the title is kind of misleading. it doesn't tell you anything about how they picked these winners (other than that they supposedly had some "super computer" that they had programmed). it was a lot like "Bringing Down the House" but with football betting instead of blackjack. They supposedly consistantly won their bets, so the casino sportsbooks and online books kept kicking them out, cutting their limits, etc. pretty good story and an easy read, but reading this book isn't going to help anyone pick winners or anything. |

I read that article, Joey. Thanks. That's amazing how a group of people came up with a program to take into account so many factors and stats to be so succesful with gambling. Just started reading Smart Money. It's about another "secret" group which was/is doing the same thing. |

OK, this book is disaapointing so far (I've read 2/3 so far). The author is just chronicling his bets day after day for the Brain Trust group. Not much happens. There's not much of a story besides his frustration with the various casinos thst start to place lower limits on his bets once they realize how successful he is. I've started another book called "Bringing Down the House" and am already enjoying it. True story about a group of MIT students that developed a system to beat Vegas out of millions. |
