Makes sense, as running a ward of nurses is pretty good operational experience for running a hospital. You have ignored this user.

most 2 year colleges for nursing are exceptionally hard. It was like mental bootcamp for me. First 2 weeks of school had an exam covering 10 chapters, and this wasnt simple stuff. Then the real hard stuff happens. 6 hour clinicals 3 times a week, 4-6 hour classe days 4 times a week, exams all the time.... nursing school is very tough. Not doctor tough, but tough nevertheless. I finished a 2 year degree, and my patients lives are in my hands. I work with bsn prepared nurses, and I dont notice a difference. To be honest, I think clinically I was stronger starting off, while they had more theory based knowledge that was nice, but not clinical based. Ive been a nurse for 3 years, and make over 65000 a year You have ignored this user.

Community Colleges hold a lot of potential, but it depends on the student. This is especially true for someone looking to transfer get a bachelor's degree and not necessarily on in a specialized certification program. Some of your classmates may not be as serious about their education. If you can rise above the lowest common denominator, it is a great opportunity. If you cannot rise above the lowest common denominator, you should probably go the most rigorous school you can get into. You have ignored this user.

It gave me a solid understanding of public policy, govt, and proved invaluable in talking with policy wonks and attorney and elected officials while interviewing them for stories. Plus, it makes it a lot easier to pick up on hot Environmental Science chicks. You have ignored this user.
