Simply a ranking of the 10 toughest land animals in a ONE on ONE situation. Two things: 1. I didn't include Crocodiles or Walrus' because they're too difficult to match up. Crocs would whip a lot of ass on land, but wouldn't make the top 10. They would kill most of the top 10 in the water, but this isn't that type of ranking. Same goes with Walrus' They would be murder in water, but on land they'd have a tough time with very large, dangerous animals. 2. I'm going to go ahead and lump all brown bears together in one grouping. I think Kodiaks beat Polar bears and grizzlies are a toss up with Polars. 1. Elephant 2. Hippopotamus 3. Rhinoceros 4. Brown Bear 5. Polar Bear 6. Moose 7. Water Buffalo 8. Bull (Cattle) 9. Giraffe 10. Siberian Tiger (Amur) |

uratoker, that's cool, but do some research on the bull moose and you'll see they're 1600+ pounds of fury, strength and weaponry. The only one I had trouble with was Giraffe vs Sib. Tiger. You have to keep in mind that the Giraffe will outweigh it by over 3,000 pounds. I think the Giraffe would injure the tiger severely via kicks/stomps before the tiger kills it ON AVERAGE |

Thomas, a giraffe weighs over 4,000 pounds. It takes around 6 lionesses to bring one down |

i think the rhino and the hippo is a toss up. i think the bull moose despite being big, has a limited offense and it would DEFINITELY be possible for the big cat to take it's back and get it's throat. |

Afterbirth, I implore you to please do some research on a bull moose. It takes everything a grizzly has to defeat them. Hell, grizzlies have tough times with elks and they're a good deal smaller than a moose. They are NO joke |

It is possible that I brought upon the hippo jock-riding with a few threads. Their jocks deserve to be ridden; they are masters of destruction |

jwizard, the style match up though. Bears fight straight head to head. The cat is much more agile, and attacks from different angles, and i could see the cat taking it's back and outmanuevering it. |
