Does this mean Carrick moves forward? Will they both play in the same midfield? Or did Ferguson spend 17 million on a rotation player? |

Yeah but that means Ferguson spent more than 16 mil (don't remember what Carrick cost) on a sub last year then. Plus presumably Scholes is on his way out eventually what with his age. He does fit the personality Ferguson seems to be trying to build over there though. |

Scholes won't last much longer. I think he might have 1 more season and call it a day. Hargreaves and Carrick in Midfield is a strange one, might have to change formations to fit them in. |

He was Englands best player at the WC (not saying much mind), he is the type of player managers love IMO because he just doesn't seem to quit. Good buy by Fergie. |

Fergie has wanted to play a 4-5-1 or more like 4-3-3 for a while. It'll be the Cup final team minus Darren Fletcher for the big games |

lol iv not been coming on recently what with uni work etc. im still a little sceptical about this signing.. it may work for us as ftgie is trying to replace the old gate team of keane scholes giggs etc we need to stop playing with a lone forward and need another adept striker up there it should be giggs scholes/carrick owen and ronaldo as a basic flat midfield 4 then rooney/smith upfront with whoever we sign for it. berbatov? |

I'm a Red Devil and would love to see Berbatov strutt his stuff at OT but for the good of the Prem I hope he stays @ Spurs. The Premiership is in danger of becoming Scottish football if the top two (Liverpool three) gobble up all the quality every summer |
