Suzuki 750 or Triumph 675 I've heard good things about both. Is the extra power for the suzuki that much better? Is the Triuph more bang for the buck? Will the Triumph be harder to get service for? What say you OG?

The costs for servicing/parts on the 675 isn't that bad, really. Go to www.triumphrat.net and check out the supersports/daytona forum. Only other important questions are, have you test road the 675? How far do you live from a Triumph shop? I picked up a Speed Triple last summer and I love it. I don't think you can go wrong with either bike, but I prefer the 675 due to the exclusivity, the looks (much hotter than the Gixxer), and the ride. Incredible bike. You have ignored this user.

I rode for years. one year I rode about 15,000 miles . I had many close calls and I am ultra safe/trained rider. I gave it up. I helped do cpr on a dude in early june that had wrecked out on his scooter. He died. He was wearing a helmet but it flipped off. I noticed blood coming from his ears and eyeballs. He was careflighted and still died. I have a good friend that rides sportbikes. he does not have the use of one arm due to a m/c accident. It is sad to see his arm so gimpy. he is a former nfl linebacker. His present scooter has modified controls. He was really good on a scooter. he could do wheelies and front wheel stand stoppies. he got busted up leaving a friends house at dark. weird angle on downhill pavement along with moist gravel and dust. Slow speed crash, under 30 mph, fucked up arm for life. There are just too many dumbass drivers out there. I gave it up. I was almost talked into buying a KTM adventure 990 until I did cpr on the dude. I may have another one one day, but it will be when I live further out and the traffic is not so heavy. Not to hijack. It is pretty comfy too. It will work for commuting and sport touring, if you are interested in that sort of thing. Have you looked at the KTM SuperDuke? Neato! You have ignored this user.

I havent ridden a 675 but I have ridden a friends 03 GSXR 750. For only weighing 5 lbs more than a 600 with about 25 more hp and 10-15 ft/lbs of more torque you cant go wrong. Handles well, and above 8k it is an absolute rocket. Riding a motorcycle isnt about spec sheets, but its hard to go wrong on the GSXR, its got a nice suspension from the factory, slipper clutch, adjustable foot pegs, etc. The 675 would be nice on its exclusitivy alone, but I would wait to see what they do with it next year. How tall are you? The 'tona has a pretty high seat height, its pretty narrow though so I could still flatfoot it at 5'10" and some change. I cant deny it either, the daytonas sound extremely nice with aftermarket exhausts. Toughy, me personally, I would probably get the 750. You have ignored this user.
