Jinx, Looks like you are at about $8400 today, down from $9617 when you posted this 6 weeks ago. Mark |

Jinx, What happened to CTRP? That was looking like a gold mine and got hammered yesterday. What was the news? |

Mark, there was a correction last week. I'm sure you were aware of it. The fundamentals are the same and this account will be worth about 11,000 or so in the next 2-3 months. Also I reallocated some funds, so the portfolio is not the same as originally set up. I'll post a screen shot. |

Here's what we're looking at now. Sold off Dendreon shares. Figure there is nothing to get excited about until 2008 anyway and don't want to be sitting on dead money. Holding onto 10 shares as a watchlist stock. In this acct, there was about a 400 dollar loss last thursday or friday I believe. Whenever that little correction was. Bought DRL at about a buck and change. Don't remember exactly. And bought a bunch of Jade at the 6.80 range. |

Regarding CTRP, I actually sold that off a while back at around 80 or so. I bought originally at 35 or so. They are waiting on earnings Aug 6th I believe. I'm pretty sure earnings will most likely look good. Though I don't own any shares anymore, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a couple but I don't have a lot of cash right now to play with. Most of my money is in the market already. If CTRP has strong earnings still, look for a bounce to the 90's. |

"Mark, there was a correction last week. I'm sure you were aware of it. " Painfully aware, my friend. I didn't get dinged too bad. I got alot of that back yesterday and today. "The fundamentals are the same and this account will be worth about 11,000 or so in the next 2-3 months." And that will leave you 2 months to make $9000 and get to $20k. Thats pretty tough. Mark |

Don't have quite that far to get. I actually said: "I guess the reason I said check back in 6 months is because I can guarantee that 9 grand will be about 15 grand in 6 months." If I'm at 14 grand by then, don't shoot me. Lol. Here's to August earnings reports. |

"I'll prove it to you in 6 months when this acct is at 20 grand (yes I was being conservative earlier)." Your quote on this thread. Mark |

I respect any parent who saves for their kids. I have had trust for my kids since they were born. I always was extremely cautious with their money. My goal was always to have my kid's to have over $1 million in liquid assets when they got out of college. That being said, if the money becomes a curse and excuse not working, they will never see a penny of it. I genuinely hope they see the efforts of their parents as an opportunity, not an excuse for being unproductive or going on a wasteful spending spree. I have seen too many "Trust Fund babies" who were the exact opposite of what I expect my kids to be as adults. Jinx my friend, remember if can save consistently for them and avoid mistakes, the returns will take care of themselves. |

" I respect any parent who saves for their kids." So do I. But Jinx pissed alot of it away with his poor investments. Mark |
