Anyone got any ideas? The Ninja Warrior show looks good, involving Jumping over/across, Leaping and catching, swinging, balancing, climbing rope/walls/etc, crawling under, bridge climbing, etc Maybe moving/throwing something midway. Where would be a good place to do these? I'd feel like a fool doing these in the street, like parkour. Should lots of running be involved? |

The best place to do this is a park or playgournd at a school that has a jungle gym. There's some running mixed in. Just vary the amount of running as you change your course. |

I was thinking more along the lines of stuff you can do in the privacy of your own home, or maybe a matted area. I'd feel like a monkey swinging around on a kids playground. Sure I could if I had to, but a living-room obstacle course would be handy. |

I'm not sure why someone would post a video clip of people doing parkour. That's just not realistic for most people. Plus, that is getting into highly skilled movement. Unless you can put a jungle gym in your living room, a kids playground is the best. |

Bolo, can I ask you what specific movements you do in the Jungle gym? Maybe I can reproduce some of them anyway. |

The best thing to do is to watch children play and see all the movements they do. However, I doubt you can reproduce all of it in your living room because you don't have all the structures of a jungle gym. |

I made 3 video clips giving example of things you can do to create an obstacle course: http://youtube.com/watch?v=IZDAqPzV5EQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEBFI76-seM http://youtube.com/watch?v=TpbAEWX9tyQ |
