Alright so im selling my civic and looking to pick up an entry-level sports car this spring for cheap.. I've found a few good deals online for a 90, 92, and 98 eagle talon as well as a 91 toyota MR2. Any issues or quirks with any of these cars? I dont know much about cars so i dont want something that will be in the shop most of the time...they all look to be in fairly decent shape. I just want something with AWD or RWD with a little bit of kick....something fun. Is it worth it? |

a solid aftermarket is nice. Im probably not going to be looking to do anything too big to it though... I just want something that will make me grin.. How fun are AWD cars? I dono...something about whipping that back end around makes me grin ear to ear.. How is the power on both of these cars with the stock turbo setups? |

I had a 1st gen DSM. As whitelx mentioned aftermarket is plentiful. You can ghetto rig or buy top notch stuff, that is up to you. The motor is pretty good but there are problems with the tranny (synchros) and the transfer case. Shit is gonna break on this car and its not the easiest engine bay to work in. (remove the rite and radiator to change the alternator, WTF?) If you don't mind getting your hands dirty they are awesome cars and very fun to drive. I know nothing about MR2s. |

I have heard Talons are not that reliable but MR2 is a Toyota so I'm guessing it's got to be a bit more reliable or easier to work on. I'd say MR2 if you don't drive in the snow and AWD isn't really needed. I don't see MR2 whipping out the rear end much right? I figure cause their size. 240sx-300zx-eclipse gsx-3000gt-bmw 328-camaro-mustang. Some of these are similar just a few more to choose from |

The 400hp mr2 will actually launch harder than the awd dsm at the same power level. Sadly...........there isn't much room for anything including maintenance on a MR2. You guys know that toyota makes a sequential manual tranny on some of the newer MR-2 spiders? |
