Does anyone else see a tied game in the 3rd period just hope it goes to a shoot out? They are great fun to watch, but kinda ruins the game. |

I am a big traditionalist, and argued against the SO, but I gotta admit they are exciting. I like 4-on-4 OT better. Hope they go to 10 min OT next season. All you need to do is get those skater chicks to do a few more dry scrapes during commercial breaks to make the extra 5 minutes okay ice. |

Shootout wins should count for a half point. that way they atill mean something but not as much as finishing it in OT |

When the Oilers play no...they shouldn't even be near a playoff spot, but the shootout saved them. I'd rather see a game end in OT, but I look at the bright side of the shootout, and truthfully its better than coming away with two teams tied, i hated ties. |

I hear people bitch about, I never saw anything wrong with them. So the teams tied? So what? The certainly some games where it's a shame one team has to lose. And there were plenty of games where a team rallied to steal a point. Re: the point system, I like 3 pts for the reg. win, and then a 2/1 breakdown if the game goes the extra time. I hate to see games between one West team and one East team that is tied and watch them go through the motions during the end of the third because neither team gives a fuck if their opponent gets a point, because it's meaningless. 3 Points for a regulation win ensures there's incentive to try and go for a regulation victory. |

Instead of the shootout they should go to 3 on 3 until someone scores. |
