what? Nothing about that visit comes off to me to be under sniperfire and forced to run with her head down.. she was acting like she entered a battlefield and reality was nothing like that. She is straight up lying about this. |

At first I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt, and that she was talking about a different time she went there to Bosnia but then the spokesperson fro her campaign came on and tried to fluff her way out of it. Seriously, she was lying with a full on fucking straight face. she's perfect for the role of POTUS. |

After listening to stories from guys working in a personnel office and never left the FOB talking about fighting the "Battle of Tikrit" like they were kicking in doors and slitting throats, I am very rarely surprised when a pogue makes it sound like they walked through fire when actually they just heard firecrackers on their way to the Green Bean Coffee Shop. Many actually believe the story they are telling because they have no real standard to judge it against. To a civilian, if they hear gunfire, it was super close and aimed at them. Their security detail recognize it as guys firing at the nearby range. I do expect a better representation of the truth from a presidential candidate, though. |

I spend 18 months in and around Sarajevo 93, 94 & 96. (96 with the americans when there wasn't any fighting going on. 93-94, well it was pretty much like you saw it on the news.) The airfield was covered by serb snipers off and on during different periods, but when it was really bad and there was serious shelling there wasn't any airtraffic going on. Even so, every disgusting politicians or humanitarian aid celebrity who visited Sarajevo (literally hundreds!) for a day or less, came out of there like they were war heroes. |

i don't think a few years in a state office and 4 years of US senate is much of a record to run for president. i never heard of him until they started talking about a presidential run. |

LOL @ BubbleBass for suggesting that serving two terms in the state senate and one term in the US senate is somehow radically less valuable than serving two terms in the US sentate, which is all Clinton has done. |
