I'm wanting a new pick up and took home for a test drive a 2005 Tacoma X-Runner. Has all the kit, spoilers, etc. Only downside is that its stick (which I used to like but is a pain when driving with my kids). Anyone have opinions/experience with this vechile? I don't care what CAR AND DRIVERS says...what does the OG think! |

I drove that Tacoma home and I like it all right, but now I'm wondering about other options like the Ford Ranger or the Chevy Colorado (I didn't like how clautrophoic the cab felt in the Nissan).... |

The Ranger is a dinosaur compared to other small trucks in the market today. I can't comment on the Chevy. I'd say Nissan Frontier or Toyota Tacoma are the way to go. |

I've known a couple of owners of the new ones. They all had good things to say. Drove an auto and thought it was a decent truck. Enough that I'd probably buy one if I was in the market for a pickup. |

You will love it. Toyota just bought my 99 back from me because of frame rust. I paid 8900 for it 5 yrs ago, put 100k miles on it, and they just gave me 12400 for it lol. |
