Now notice I said Singers not Frontmen. There is a real difference. David Lee Roth is a great frontman because of his charisma and entertainment ability but he's not necessarily the greatest singer because of his limited vocal range. the same could be said of both Ozzy and Bon Scott and many many others (Lemmy). This thread is about The Greatest Heavy Metal Singers with awsome vocal range as well. Here are some of my favorites: Michael Kiske from Helloween and other groups; |

Halford and Dickinson from Halfords album "Resurrection). Probably my favorite Metal song of all fucking time and if I was ever to enter the UFC or the WWE, I'd want to be the perfect heel and be absolutly hated and this would be my theme song: |

Gotta put Ronnie on top, his career is hard to match up to, he is the master of Metal Vocals. Also, when we saw them last summer he sang all the songs as if it were still 1981, it blew my mind. He sang every song flawlessly at 62 goddamn years old, simply amazing. I was joking with my buddy that they had a Ronnie robot constructed because it was eerie how good he was. My second is Bruce, he has done amazing vocal work over the years. |

Add Axle Rose to that front man list. His voice was shot in 1995. |

Ronnie for the win (neon knights) but I add a dark horse who can go from super smooth to full on power rasp while still maintaining a great vibrato..........Whitfield Crane. Wish he would get with anthrax like he did on the sanitarium cover album. Hard to top Halford with priest whether for singing or guitars. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgCe56T4HxU Two badass singers in one song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGtT43cOq0Q |

Huge Dio fan here. Definitely the best mentioned so far. Although I will get flamed for this, I think Sebastian Bach from Skid Row is one of the best voices in Metal. Hopefully Slash et all give him another audition for Velvet Revolver. |
