Inspired by the Unemployment thread... where someone mentions living off $6 a week for food. OK, so WTF do you eat? They said Ramen noodles is a staple. I know Kraft Dinner is cheap. Neither of those are healthly really. Tuna's cheap and healthy, so I personally would start there. So OG, if I say I have $20 a week to spend on all my meals. Gimme a meal plan. 21 meals, 7 breakfast, 7 lunch, 7 dinner, and try and fit in some snack foods. You have $20 to feed me for this week. Post pics and links to prices etc. Gogogogo!! |

At least one day would be Tuna and Salsa. A can of tuna goes for what a buck and a can of salsa that lasts for 3 meals goes for 3 bucks. So in total you have a 2$ meal. That is high in proteins and blody good eating (pineapple/tomato salsa is the best imho). Tuna is high in mercury so you shouldnt over eat it 1-2 meals a day Imho. |

$20 a week?!? If you don't care about health, then I guess it's possible with ramen noodles and rice... enjoy your diabetes and cancer, though. If you do care about health, I would recommend drinking olive oil (or some other sort of oil, probably good to mix it up). Tons of calories, a little price. |

Socrates - $20 a week?!? If you don't care about health, then I guess it's possible with ramen noodles and rice... enjoy your diabetes and cancer, though. Heh... That reminds me of that episode of Aqua Teens where Shake eats all the nachos to get Super Bowl tickets. "I got fucking diabetes and cancer because of you!" I'd like to see someone pull this off. The only thing that sounds reasonable is salsa and tuna, but I don't like either enough to try to make a meal out of them. |

Buy a 25lb bag of rice for about $12, then spend the rest on some chicken, eggs and some cheap meat and veggies. |

Potatoes are cheap, and a decent base for tons of meals. The Irish figured this out long ago. One thing that occurs to me with all the suggestions so far: this guy is going to be shitting little rabbit pellets while he's on this diet. |
