I always get (and stay) depressed when I think of the state of the world, and how we deal with it as a group.

for instance President Harper over here in Canada is all about developing the Tar Sands into OIL, and doesn't give a fuck about the environment or people in need. Canada used to be a symbol of social and environmental progress.

IMO it's healthier to concentrate on our own doing.
I usually feel much better when I concetrate on my own projects, all the while knowing I'M trying to make the world a better place. I try not to see how little an impact my actions have on the big picture, and take a little appreciation for the little positive impacts I have on those around me.

don't be afraid Bros, just make the world a little better than worse, and remember that it's YOUR life to live, and if the world turns to shit completely, there's not much we can do.
