I was thinking about purchasing a couple of these. I wonder if they are worth the money? ![]() 275 Servings

Never saw it, but I may have to pick one up. Right now I'm mostly stocked on MRE's, canned food, and protein/Meal replacement powders. |

IMO 85 bucks at costco can be much better spent on things like canned meats rice beans sugar flour spices oil |

Yea, even at a months worth of food in that bucket, thats not a bad deal at all. Added to my checklist. Thanks for sharing the find! |

True, Crazyfeet, but portability, shelf life, and storage come into play too. |

If you do that, can you do a body analysis, before and after? weight, body fat %, stuff like that. |

kvr28 - np, I'm thinking about just eating out of the bucket for a month and nothing else, kind of like a test run If you don't want to do that, I will. |

kvr, did you weight yourself yet? I'd like to see how well you maintain/lose/gain weight through this process. |

Keep this thread at the top for the results. I'm really interested in buying these buckets. |

you also ate this from the confines of your comfy home. in an 'off the grid' scenario, you're going to be using a hell of a lot more energy to maintain your life. gathering food, chopping up fuel, guarding the house, and killin those that get too close to your bucket. consider bottling your soy gas to use for fuel. stephen |

I bought several of them. I wish I had bought more. They had reduced the price to $75. When I bought 5 or 6 the cashier looked at me like I was crazy. 25 year shelf life! |

On a side note I'm sure they aren't that great to eat but when you are hungry they must taste delicious! |

But the costco food is freeze dried and has a life span of 25 years I think. |

Rodd - 25 years! Dam, I'll be way old by then LOL, I'll have to check the bucket and see what it says. You seem like a very resourceful man, I hope to be at your level someday. |
