lordbreakdown -cbia - Maybe you're right. But his work in alternating current, polyphase, AC motors, and wireless radio was amazing. |

cbia -Let's not forget Tesla Motor cars, "the induction motor, means for increasing the intensity of electrical oscillations, alternating current for long distance electrical transmission, the "Tesla" Coil, bladeless turbines, telegeodynamics, wireless communication systems, radio frequency oscillators, robotics, x-ray developments leading to the creating of the MRI, various devices that use rotating magnetic fields, methods for providing for low resistance in the passage of electrical current, voltage multiplication devices, high voltage discharge devices, lightning protection devices and many others. Nikola Tesla's contributions to electrical generation are the foundation of the industry. Nikola Tesla held over 40 patents in the United States and over 700 patents worldwide."lordbreakdown -cbia - |

It's not Bell. Stealing inventions when you work at the patent office does not advance the cause of humanity. |

I second Hitler. The rapid technological escalation of WWII laid the foundation for the majority of our mechanic and computer equipment we have today. |

"The computer was before WW2. 1937 - Atanasoff - Iowa State University. Hitler had nothing to do with it" Ya, I realize he didn't discover the computer. Hitler single handedly started and maintained WWII. My logic was that WWII was a huge catalyst for giant leaps in technology(mechanical, computing, weaponry, nuclear physics, etc). |

TDre42 - "The computer was before WW2. 1937 - Atanasoff - Iowa State University. Hitler had nothing to do with it" I got ya. That is why I edited my post to acknowledge my poor reading comprehension - just decided to leave that up there for those who might find it interesting. |
