That one pictured in post 1 is from Sam's Club and Cabela's and if I recall is $300. I wouldn't go lower than that or you'll be sacrificing a lot of quality and gaining a lot of pissed-offedness when you can't keep a good temperature and burn through a tree's worth of wood for one session. Like any other thing they go up into the thousands for high end models that are restaurant capable. They'd be built like a tank with thick walls to hold temperature and you could barbecue at the North Pole if you could find an outlet. |

its a good starting point. i've been using it for a couple years and have been happy. i ended up building my own recently just because i wanted to use charcoal and control the temperature a bit more. plus its funner. |
