Very cool Odysseroc! Here's a loose sketch I did with ink, just trying out different approaches at the moment to see what works. http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/ss168/Graphicnovelstuff/Angelinpark.jpg This is a ink and wash sketch of Babalu, just having a stab at tone and line weight with this one really. http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/ss168/Graphicnovelstuff/Babalu.jpg |

Another quick drawing. This was maybe 15 minutes, start to finish. http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs087.snc3/15462_169896631033_537456033_3456792_2618249_n.jpg |

The whole grafitti feel to your sketch work is so cool. Heres a Power girl sketch with a tricky pose, i'm trying to challenge myself to draw more women, i'm fairly weak at them. The pose was a proper bastard to do too. http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/ss168/Graphicnovelstuff/powergirlfixed.jpg |

Thanks RDUK, I'm trying to get back to my graf roots more. I honestly haven't drawn in years, but I think working with good artists has helped me a lot. Good work on the power girl and the difficult pose. I dread drawing women, but I'm also trying to push myself to draw stuff I don't like. If I had one crit it would be to soften up your lines a little bit when drawing women and remember that less is more. I'd lose the hatching on the cheeks and maybe the bridge of her nose. You can still makes the shapes of the cheeks with lines, but keep them soft. Here's today's drawing http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h224/odysseyroc/flightcolor.jpg |

Thanks for the feedback odysseyroc, it's definitely a struggle for me drawing females as I was always too embarrassed to draw em as a kid lol. I can see what you mean about the hard lines, have to experiment more. Great pic, you have so many colour styles it's unreal. Cheers again :) |

I have a friend who is a pretty sick guy. He isnt working right now and is doing some single panel commentary stuff almost as a form of therapy. Hard to top you guys for sheer skill, but seeing different stuff is never bad. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

This was a light and shadow study, not sure how successful it is but it's an area I need to work on so thought I might aswell give it a go and see what happens. I chose Wee Hughie as a subject. http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/ss168/Graphicnovelstuff/WeeHughieshadow.jpg This was a female collage just because I need more practice drawing women folk. http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/ss168/Graphicnovelstuff/Femalestudy.jpg |
