Keep it out of the sun, and when you must expose it, use sunblock. |

Aquaphor and A & D are great. Some don't like the smell of the A & D ointment. |

Nothing better than AandD. Just buy your own tube if you have kids, you do NOT want diaper rash getting in your tattoo. |

I broke out from Aquaphor. A&D has always worked well for me. |

use a & d for the first two days or until the swelling goes down. switch to the aquaphor for another two days or so, then lotion until healed |

I was told to NOT use petroleum jelly based stuff, thought Aquaphor was too similar, so I stayed away. A&D seems to be the consensus with what I was told, and also here mine looks good using the kukui nut stuff = ) |

you can use A & D but i don't recommend it. It tends to make the fresh tat seep. The less crap you goop on your tatt the better it will heal. and PLEASE don't use anything petroleum based. if it starts to get dry and itchy, DAB not rub some fragrance free hand lotion on it. I personally use lubriderm on mine. All this expensive crap supposedly for healing tattoos is non sence. DO NOT DISTURB those scabs, I don't care how bad it fuckin itches. Don't let tight clothing rub against it, and for fuck sakes... DON'T PICK IT!!! I don't care if a scab is almost off except for one little spot, leave it alone. It will fall off when it's damn well ready. Any other questions let me know. |

Check out the H2O ocean foam. It is awesome stuff. Keeps it moisturized and prevents infections. Best stuff out there I think. |

aquaphor is great and wont promote scabbing. a&d works, but use it very sparingly because if you over apply it, you'll end up with thick thick scabs. |

I've found that A&D mutes the colors a bit. The best results I've had is when using only Lubraderm. |

I couldn't agree more with the remarks about the A & D causing the tat to scab up. A tried and true method for me the last few years has been A & D on the first day and then simply Aveeno lotion (scentless of course) a few times a day for the next two weeks. |

I tried hot bathes in Skin-So-Soft when I started my back piece. It helped alot with the itching. I usually heal super quick, I have some what of a healing factor and barely bleed when getting tattooed. Other than that I do the normal A&D for a few days then switch to cocoa butter. |

hot shower and let the water run on it for about 10-15 minutes to get all the extra ink and plasma out of the tattoo wash with anti batc sopa and use Aquaphor |
