I was presnted with the questions (what's in store for Enson Inoue? New Gyms? Upcoming fights? Travel?),from Shoyoroll.com and I thought you guys would also be interested in my answer. So here's the response I posted: What's in store for me? Well haven't had enough time to do any type of serious training to fight MMA because I've have been so busy traveling and working on new ventures in Japan. Getting back in the MMA ring would require dropping everything I'm doing for 3 months to properly train and I would n't even consider it unless it was a decent 6 figure offer. If I ever get back inthe ring it wouldn't be to win a title, get revenge, or just because someone called me out, it would be strictly for the money. Let's face it, I've fought all over the world (Japan, Abu Dhabi, America, Hawaii, andGuam), For some of the worlds biggest promotions (Pride, Abu Dhabi, UFC, Shooto, Super Brawls, and Fury), and some of the biggest names in MMA (Randy Couture, Frank Shamrrock, Antonio Norgeria, Igor Vovchanchin, Mark Kerr, Heath Herring, Mario Sperry, and Zulu). I've also gained a great reputation for myself being respected by a lot of the big promotions and fighters throughout the world. Also getting the privledge of being nicknamed Yamatodamashii or the Samurai Spirit, being a forgiener, is almost unheard of in Japan. I always said that fighting and training hardcore is not my life but just merely a stepping stone in my life. I also believe that I've already cleared that step and would consider getting back in the ring a step back in my life. I have nothing more to prove or gain by getting back into the ring again except $$$. Looking to focus more on managing fighter that want to fight in Japan. I'm in good with all the big promotions and I believe that because I was a fighter I can relate better to the fighters wishes and needs. New Gyms? I have a new gym opening up in Osaka on July 9th. I will be a huge gym with a ring joint with Ota Kougyo from the Yamaguchi Gumi. I am also in the process of opening up a Purebred Thailand at the end of this year or the beginning of next year joint with Sangtiennoi. Upcoming Fights? Like I said, for MMA, no 6 figure offer=no fight. There is rumour of the UFC wanting me to fight Randy Couture. I'm game if the money is right. I have nothing to gain by fighting Randy except $$$. As for Pro Wrestling, I just finished a gig on June 5th tagging with Choshu Riki and have 2 more gigs set up for August 14th and September 11th. Travel? Believe it or not in 1 year I travel out of Japan approximately 16-17 times. Crazy huh??? Since my last trip to Guam in the beginning of June, I spent 4 days in Japan then went to Thailand for 10 days, spent another 3 days in Japan now I back in Guam for 5 days, go back to Japan for the opening of Purebred Osaka, then off to Hawaii inthe middle of this month. |

Enson, How long will you be in Osaka? After your gym opens, will you be coming back every so often? If possible, I'd like to meet you to do a face to face interview. I train at STG Osaka and I'm friends with one of your fighters, Ryan Bow. I know your busy, so if you have time, please let me know. Thank you, Hody PS -- we (PrideCast) did a telephone interview with you before, prior to your retirement fight against Nog. |

Thank you Enson! I don't have your cell #. Gordon (the other member and founder of Pridecast) had it but might have deleted it when he got his new k-tai. Do you already have the # to your Osaka Gym up and running? I only have the # to your Kyoto Gym -- TEL 075-254-7777. I kinda figure you will be really busy on the 9th, opening day and all. So....if your free on the 10th, that would work out great. We could do the interview and at the same time I could check out your new gym and do an article on that as well -- free exposure for you. :) Once again, thank you. I'm in the process of talking to the rest of my crew and we will work around your schedule. FYI -- my computer e-mail address is rgracie@hotmail.com and k-tai etchi-man@docomo.ne.jp Hody |

"MMA gym in Thailand, wow, I guess you'll be turning some Muay Thai boxers to MMA." Whats the time frame for this Enson? I was considering a trip to Phuket at some point, but if you have your own gym id much rather support your effort. |
