I got a set of RAM Gforce clubs I got on sale at Sports Authority for $130 as my first set. Been playing for four months and shooting low 90's. If I get better I might upgrade but I don't know if expensive clubs will help anything. I play with guys who have been playing for years with $1500 in their bag that shoot higher than me. Seems like it has more to do with the club swinging device than the clubs, I mean would an $800 set of Adams irons actually lower my score? BTW, obviously i'm new to golf and fucking love it. I still don't know squat about how to play but everytime I go out I have a eureka! moment about an aspect of my game and my score gets a little lower. Last week I got rid of my slice, added 35 yds to my drive and hit 10/14 fairways. It gets more fun everytime I go out. |

equipment does make a difference just like every other sport, but if you have only been playing for four months, i would make sure you are committed to playing before you spend a ton of money... i started playing when i was 14 with a set of knock off clubs, then i moved up to a set of used cleveland ta5's when i was 18 or 19 that i got for a song, and then bought my first new irons a couple years ago, and this year i moved into a new forged set of irons... and i play at least 4 times a week |

I just got myself some Snake Eyes Irons from a friend, these things hit like an absolute dream. I never thought equipment mattered until I hit with these... |

I couldn't care less if they're knock off of Cobras, copied by Callaway with Taylor made shafts :) They hit well and I enjoy using them. Now to find a decent recovery Club... |

Now to find a decent recovery Club... didn't say there was anything wrong with it, just thought i'd tell you what you had.... check callawaygolfpreowned.com for a hybrid (or rescue club as some call it).... here is a great club for cheap! http://www.callawaygolfpreowned.com/2458607/2458607,default,pd.html |

Shitty bro. You know about my Mom passing. After that, I had to put down my dog I had since high school. Two weeks after that, we thought the cat was acting "depressed" about the dog and mom going but it was kidney failure so I had to put her down too. Other than that, golf game is good. Once I realized that, due to all my injuries, my swing speed isn't what it used to be and I went down to all R-flex, I started hitting everything better. I'm 3 clubs longer with my Adams Pro Black CB2s than I was with my Ping i10s. I was on a launch monitor last week. Swing speed is low to mid 90s but my smash factor is 1.5 so I'm getting as much out of my shitty swing as I can. |

Adams Pro Blacks are legit. Really like the hybrids. Love the irons. Everyone that's hit the irons loves them. I like the Pro Black Hybrids because they're nice and small without too much "bulge and roll". I have more shots with the 20 and 23 degree hybrids than with a 4 or 5 iron. The R-flex KBS Tour 90 shaft has made a huge difference in my game. I really feel them snapping through the ball. A note for everyone else: You probably need more flexible shafts. Seriously. Unless your ball speed is 155+, you're probably ok with R flex. |

Swinging some Mizuno MP-58 irons. Mizunos are the shit and I cant see myself ever switching unless it's to a set of Miuras or something. Taylormade superfast TP driver, 8.5 degree with xstiff shaft. Vokey 52,56,60 wedges, Mizuno CLK hybrid and a Taylormade ghost putter. |
