Well the school is in Ithaca, NY where Team BombSquad is out of. The only Jay Standish wrestled in Section V in NY took 2nd in Sectionals 1992 http://armdrag.com/archives/1992/tournaments/sectionals/d/index.htm , no college info on him. I smell Bullshit Dan Gable hasn't wrestled that many matches. |

oh man... the ones like this always confuse me. you'd think that having a little legit experience in mma/bjj they would know its still a pretty small world despite the popularity, media coverage, etc. wallid? really? |

Tony Williams has fought for jungle fights, so there's the Lang's Wallid connection, I wonder if this guy is assimilating the stories of people he has met to make one good story btw the gym doesn't look too bad |

i'm not saying he is or isn't. just that if he is, wallid isn't likely who i'd choose. |

Looks like a huge room with mats, so I guess it just comes down to who you got in there training people. |

Empire - i have no idea, but if he is fake, he picked the craziest guy to claim rank from.Completely agree. Wallid Ismail?! Really?! They made a great point on the Bullshido thread which is...if there was an American promoted to BJJ BB under Wallid Ismail, people would know about it. Hell, especially if he was an amateur fighter, the UG would definitely know about this. Not to mention, looking at those pictures, neither of his fights really went to the ground...I guess that's not where he feels most comfortable? I feel like he did his homework to find a "really really legit guy", but the problem is...he picked TOO legit of a guy. |

Dude I'm training every way I can to become good in BJJ and guys like this just throw on a belt and claim to be a black belt under a legend like Wallid? I hate false claims. Put in your damn time and earn it!! |

There's an easy way to tell if he ever trained with Wallid. If he has an unpassable guard, then he trained with Wallid. Does Wallid even live in the US? |

Lions of Atlanta - I know nothing about what sets the standards for a lot of wrestling matches. But, 1,480 seems like a lot to me. Its actually not a lot. Its ludicrous. |
