Do any of you guys or gals mess with Penny stocks? If so, what are some are your picks for now-2011 and why? Besides having an old 401k from my previous job I know nothing about stocks. Later |

EVILYOSHIDA - my 2010 pic was actc and it has returned 700% so far. Funny you mentioned the actc- the howard stern show mentioned that, i got in at like 20 cents a share, that was my first ever penny stock. looking for others. Where do you see Nuro going? Well in your opinion? |

watch out for actc, it's highly news and event driven. if you are in it for the long haul like 2-3 years, you should be in for a nice reward. |

i like jamba juice. jmba, it's not in the pennies, but anything under 5 bucks is considered a penny stock. people liek to bag on pennies but small fortunes can be made very quickly with good money management. |

agxm is another good one at .77 with 70% upside potential to .90 if it breaks .90 next leg up is 1.00 trade technicals and keep tight stops |

also one more tip, NEVER ever get tips from mainstream media, by the time it's there all the dumb money is in, and that's when the smart money sells out. you are lucky you got into one of the best pennies, actc.. but generally if you did what you did you would get burned. |

What is your analysis of Nuro? Their statement of cash flows and income statement look like crap. Their price to book ratio and assets/debt looks great, but it looks like they are having serious earnings trouble. I am not trying to be argumentative at all, just wondering what the basis of your prediction is. |

salyer if the fundamantals look good it wouldn't be a penny stock lol. but my analysis is that it bottomed out and held the 50 cent level for awhile, and has begun to break out, huge buying interest recently. people have been accumulating shares, including renaissance technologies. that's always a good sign. when you trade pennies you do not care about the companies fundamentals, most of them look like crap. all the bad news for NURo has been priced in and over an extended period of time. look at the long term chart. this thing will pop but be careful because liquidity is crap right now. always do a limit order and never market, the bid/ask spread will kill you. |

thanks....

maybe NURO will be my speculative/penny stock for the year then.... It is close to 52 week low, "cheap," and looks like it has a lot of assets and little debt. Could this be because they have a lot of equipment sitting around that has to get sold? Also, do you set stop losses? If so, how low? the stock is at .60 now..... I am completely new to the penny stock game. |

very dangerous to set stop losses. the market makers front run, they know where the stops are, and if trading is thin, they will bring it down and scoop up shares and bring it right back up. this is why i advise not putting that much money into one stock. spread it across a few. |

all of the pennies dilute, you just have to get out when they do and wait for the next runup. it's not gambling if you know what you're doing |

everybody is bearish on natural gas. a decent penny stock to trade is ngas, which is due for a 10-20% pop anyday now. i don't know that many penny stocks, but i place small positions like 2000-3000 on a few like NURO, AGXM, JMBA etc. ohh one good one that i may get into SNSS |
