White347LX Member Since: 1/1/01 Posts: 48817	The low/classic Sportsters are great for short riders. I'm 6'5" and felt like a circus bear on a tricycle when I moved those things around the warehouse. I sold 14 of them last summer and every buyer was a woman or a guy buying it for his woman. They're cheap and easy to ride which makes it perfect for your needs, IMO. It's a chick bike in the sense that smaller/female riders may be more comfortable on a smaller, lighter bike like the Sportster. The C models have a low seat height so it's even more comfy for short riders. Of course, this only applies to those riders who are dead set on getting a Harley. There are better choices from other brands in this segment, but some motorcycle buyers only look at Harley Davidson for whatever reason. You have ignored this user.

RsrvorDog -  Do old school bikers look down on guys on a sportster?  I hear that many consider it a chicks bike.  I've heard that too. My attitude is that unless you are the one paying for my bike, you should shut your god damned cock-holster! :P And I'm 5'4' and 140 lbs....so....it fits me perfectly. :)    It's my first bike and I think I chose well....I've got about 700 miles on it so far. i have an 07 sporty...and it's a great bike...i actually was gonna buy an iron 883 and do the big bore conversion on it...but they didn't have the black at the dealer so i looked at some used 1200's and got the bike i have now. i love it. i'm in the middle of making alot of mods on it.  i'm 5'8  and just put 16 inch apes on it.  and changed the seat to a lower further back seat and it has stock forward control son it...fits me perfect.
