gord96 - i have only been playing 2 months, but i have no clue what you're talking about. i must still be missing the part of the game that requires so much playing time. i log in blow some stuff up or do some mining, then log out. there is no grinding, no endless questing. what am i missing? a lot actually. When i joined i joined a null sec corp. That required time to get out there. Then when i was out there i had to farm conisently to provide for my corp and myself. Then when i wanted to PVP i had to go on missions that lasted a couple of hours. And if there was no action, you'd just wait around until something happened. Then i had to wait for certain skills to finish so i could have some bad ass ships. Then i had to wait some time to be able to farm properly without the assistance of a carrier. Then i needed some time to learn how to pvp correctly and so on. All in all, way too much sitting around before i actually do the cool stuff. |

got myself a Hurricane last night. Looks like an Imperial Star Destroyer. A sweet ship for sure. For me this is my end game ship. From what I read the Cane is the top solo PvP ship for both cost effieiciency and blowing stuff up. Where did u get that skill list for the minmatar frig pilot squat? I want a similar one for a minmatar battlecruiser pilot. ![]() |

From what I read the Cane is the top solo PvP ship for both cost effieiciency and blowing stuff up. Drake is probably best overall, but Cane is close second. I manually typed out that list. The only extras you need for Cane is Medium Projectile Turrets V Medium Autocannon Specialisation IV Battlecruiser IV Energy Emission Systems IV ...and a shitload of Drone skills, most importantly: Drones V Scout Drones V |

thanks sport! yeah i read the drake is a bit better. but seemed like too much work to start training that since i was already deep in projectiles/minmatar, etc. |

Cane is still awesome and does more DPS with typical fit, while having the advantage of dual medium neuts. |

I fired up the 5 days free on Eve and promptly got my Moa destroyed and myself podded trying to Rat out in 0.4. (I actually did better than I would have imagined, but eventually lost the fight because I couldn't get my ass out of there) Of course I didn't have insurance or a recent clone so I'm a bit screwed but whats new. I do have 40 skill points now with 50 more unallocated. If I wanted to use these skill points to train, do they simply equal one point to a skill regardless of how long it would take to skill the normal way? |

Well, I just lost my 200m Rapier and 400m worth of implants last night because the FUCKING game froze up on undock and the screen remained blank for a good three minutes while some noob pirate leisurely podded me. I petitioned CCP, so hopefully I'll at least get reimbursed for the ship loss. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU... |

Its says I have 40 skilled and I have 50.754 unallocated. Its says I should only have to right click the skill and use the points to train a skill, but I was hoping to figure out if it was one for one or would I have to give up 10 skills for say a lvl 5 skill. I just don't want to waste the skills until I know how it works. |

It probably means you have 50 skills trained and 57,000 skill POINTS to allocate. |

Just do the list I posted earlier, except train Medium Hybrid Turrets instead of Small Projectile. |

Ok, I couldn't see the comma. Yeah it says I have: unallocated skill points 50,671 41 skilled and 4,066,012 point allocated. I see now. So if a skill requires 200,000 then I'll be able to tackle 25% of it right away. |

Yes. The 57k unallocated skill points are a refund from when the Learning skills were removed from the game. |

Just got two solo Dram kills back-to-back: http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=12687707 http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=12688372 Over-confident faction and T2 frig pilots are the greatest thing ever! The first one talked smack in local and wanted to duel my Gallente alt's Jag, little knowing that my main had a anti-frig Navy Caracal next system over. I logged on, warped to belt one and absolutely WRECKED him. I was still at 80% shields at the end. I was doing a mission on the other side of Black Rise and this second guy was camping the system and attacking mission-runners. He followed me through the acceleration gate, but I managed to cloak and warp out before he could target me. Fortuitously, I happened to have a plexing Caracal a couple of systems over and refit it to anti-frig. He pointedly refused to engage me for the next 10mins before he drummed up enough courage to come to belt 1 and engage my 20m t1 cruiser with his 100m+ Faction frig. I held my fire until he was at point blank range, then hit him with the Medium Neut, Web, Scram and Assault Launchers. The rest of the fight was him trying to limp away as I was fucking him in the arse. It was glorious. |

Got the sweetest kills yesterday.
There's these 3 Russians who camp one of the main systems from highsec in Black Rise for hours on end with an insta-locking Loki and two remote-rep Legions supported by a boosting Absolution. The Loki pilot is ranked in the top 30 PVPers in Eve solely from his gatecamp ganks.
They have alts cloaked in the adjoining systems and will run from anything approaching an even fight, which makes them very difficult to catch.
For our master plan, we had a mega-tanked Rohk warp across system from the opposite gate to the gatecamp. When they jumped through to tackle him on the other side, we jumped into the now-empty system and warped across to the gate. The Rohk pilot held cloak for as long as possible, then tanked them until we jumped through and started wrecking shit. The Absolution managed to de-aggress and escape, but we killed the Loki and two Legions, which were worth a billion each. We also podded one of them, which would have been a high-grade Slave set worth two billion.

oh nice! i hate gate campers. i love getting away from them and laughing. i have just been playing my industrial character lately using a blockade runner to transport stuff through lowsec. gate campers have a hard time with a Prowler. I made more cash in a few milk runs into lowsec then i did with hours of mining. and it's alot more fun too. |
