I was not a Thiago Silva fan until I read this statement. Definitely made a new fan out of me and will be rooting for you in all future fights. Props and much respect. |

Upon further investigation, looks like he may have been roiding for a while. There's a stark difference in his appearance from his UFC 108 fight to his latest fight. Even his head and arms look more bulky. I'm glad he (or his agent?) came clean with this statement but I'm still up in the air about this. It's possible he was worried about his job and just wanted a strength/performance edge over his opponent. Had he lost the fight against Vera he would have been 1-3 in his past 4 fights and possibly in jeopardy of being cut. |

Another thing that irks me is how Silva was showing disrespect to Vera in the cage with those bitch slaps while he was the one that was cheating and taking roids. It's like yeah you're a real bad ass and can clown people while you're taking stuff to give you an unfair advantage. |

Did barnett ever get caught with a non-human sample? did Chael or sherk? no. their argument could be based on the idea that they didnt know they were taking PEDs and the results were because other supposedly legal supplements. I assume they are lying but i dont know that as fact.. What blows my mind is how people are actually giving Thiago respect for admitting after he was caught red fucking handed, without a shadow of a doubt. it was a non-human sample. I understand still being his fan and supporting him but respect for the letter? cmon thats fuckin dumb to me. I mean, what exactly was Thiago going to say? " well, i dont know how that urine is showing up as non-human. Im pretty certain im a human but you never know with these things..." DERP |

Wow, admitting to a crime after you've been caught does not deserve this kind of nut hugging. And anybody who thinks Silva wrote 5% of this statement is delusional. Lets say I knock over a liquor store. Then 5 years later video is released of me doing it, and showing the camera my drivers license, and I also left a blood sample at the scene matching my dna 100%. Thennnnnnnn......after the cops show me the video I release a statement saying I admit it. I will be a fucking hero on the UG for being such a stand up guy!!!!!! Not a commentary on PEDs, just an observation on undue praise. |
