hehe. i just started again too. that's the nice thing about EVE. Havent really played in a month or so but my characters kept leveling. Now that I can fly the Prowler on my industrial character i am really enjoying low-sec hauling/blockade runnig. Keeps you on the edge of your seat, that's for sure. |

I can't see the value of entrusting planetary defence to 12-year old X-Box nerds. The Dreadnaught planetary bombardment is pretty sweet, though. |

The Keynote address from fanfest contained the most apt description of Eve by one of the developers: "Welcome to Eve Online, here's your Rubic's Cube, go fuck yourself." |

Latest Devblog! Incarna is adding entirely new dimensions to EVE and bringing us closer to the full sci-fi simulation that CCP envisions. As we get closer to the full realization of Incarna, we're slowly revealing more of our roadmap to you, most recently with Captain's Quarters.
The next revelation is Incarna Mounts. That's right. It's finally going to happen. We've listened to your feedback and now we're going to give you what you've wanted for so long -- your very own pets in Incarna for your Captain's Quarters.
Why Incarna Mounts?
As capsuleers, we are these immortal gods. Our will lays waste to all we see before us and our ambition gives birth to empires. With all that power and majesty, it's all too easy to lose touch with our humanity. But even the coldest capsuleer heart warms at the sight of a purring little ball of fuzz meowing and clamoring for attention.
What Incarna home is complete without a fluffy little pet to greet you as you enter your Captain's Quarters? "NO HOME!" is our answer.
While we're referring to this feature as Incarna Mounts, there are actually two tiers what we will offer:
1. Smaller pets that will initially live in your Captain's Quarters. In time, we will allow them to venture out into stations with you, remaining within a certain user-defined radius of your avatar while you're out and about, with a chance-based risk that they will run away.
2. Larger pets which are true mounts, and can be ridden, raced, and used in combat scenarios in specialized station environments. Unlike pets, these mounts will have hitpoints and an array of combat or performance-centric enhancements swappable via a simplified fitting screen.
With the introduction of pets and mounts, players will also gain access to five new skills --
Obedience training
Mount control
Animal husbandry (No, it's not what you think. You cannot marry animals in EVE, Wikipedia is your friend.)
Veterinarian
Gene splicing

Finally decided I want to make it out to nullsec. I keep trying to find a nullsec corp. Trained up to Drake and could fit what I see most people fit their Drakes with. I have about 7.6 mil SP right now, but everyone seems to have a 10 mill min. Anyone know any good sized corp that will accept new pvper? |

I recall in the 6 month beta I flew as an escort for my mining buddy (he is a leet mmoger). Anyhoo so apart from the server restarts pretty much 4 days we went to get to his drop off point. I had not levelled much up didn't fully understand how. Mostly mates were chatting in ts and irc. Anyhoo after this 4 day journey we passed through a .4 area. During the warp I got pulled out and the shot hit the fan. I did not play again until a year after release. Reactivated for red sun rising have a achurian? Character but I never can be bothered to continue enough. Real life man.

I experienced mega-fail last night. I was running up the timer on a faction warfare plex in a friendly system and noticed a pirate Wolf come into system and appear on short-range scan. I knew he wasn't going to tangle with my Rapier, but when I saw two pirate Rifters from the same corp appear I decided to grab an anti-frig Caracal and bait the three of them into coming into the plex, where the NPCs would help me rape their face. Everything was going to plan as I warped to gate in my Caracal and jumped in past the waiting Rifter. I dropped a can to mark the warp-in point and proceeded to head towards the NPCs...except that the plex had bugged out and the NPCs weren't even fucking there anymore! The Rifter landed on top of me as I was panning the camera around trying to find the damn NPCs and scrammed me before I could burn away and kite him. In the end I killed one Rifter and had the 2nd in hull before I popped. Thanks, CCP! |

that sucks. RIP Squats Caracal. :( Still enjoying the Prowler. Low sec hauling is a hoot. Running through a gate camp with a shipment with 100 million in collateral gets the blood pumping. |

I got an epic killmail last night on my 8-day old Caldari plexing alt:
An enemy Thrasher came into the minor plex I was capping, so I jammed the shit out of it with my Griffin and proceeded to slowly, agonisingly wear him down with a whopping 26dps...
It took me over five minutes to actually kill the guy from pointblank range and I was almost out of ammo at the end.

Reactivated account today. Can't remember a bloody thing. Worked out how to redo the tutorial though, so that should help. Character is called Kyra Gracie if anybody ever sees me online. Have 0.63ISK in my account, lol |

When doing PVE type stuff with others, is it possible to tank stuff? How does aggro work in EVE? |

BaldTony - When doing PVE type stuff with others, is it possible to tank stuff? How does aggro work in EVE? The NPCs attack one target and keep shooting it. It's possible to run missions by having an alt in a fast frig speed tanking. |

Got an EVEmon loadout off Battleclinic for a Vexor. Working on the rest of the skills(about 10 days left) and will then start doing some L2 missions in it while learning more about the game. It's good fun so far. Still not decided what to concentrate on. Not pirating though. Never really enjoyed that kind of thing, especially in a computer game as you don't even get the sodomy & rum. |

Years ago I went on a PVP course, but it was on American time so started about 1AM on a Friday GMT, by which time I was completely hammered and can't remember anything they taught me. Are those kinds of course any good? |

I think it was called Eve University at the time... Never took the course though. I learned through doing ops with my former corpmates. I miss eve, but I know if I re-up yet again, I will get bored in 2 weeks. |
