I read Iceman but started to feel that he had to be embellishing alot and probably just plain making some of the murders up. I think if you count up each individual murder he claims in the book it's well above 200. |

Donnie Brasco is required reading, imo.

Right now I'm reading King of the Godfathers (about Joe Massino)- it's okay.

Will be looking for other stuff shortly, perhaps on Pablo Escobar or the Russian mob.

Not to mention, when we get back to school, my classes will be reading "Life in Prison" by Tookie Williams. |

The Last Testament of Lucky Luciano is an amazing book, highly recommended. I would say this is essential reading for anyone who wants to really understand the early days of the modern mafia and the key figures involved. |

A couple books that I really enjoyed, and could be considered similar to Donnie Brasco are: Befriend and Betray, Infiltrating the Hells Angels, Bandidos and other Criminal Brotherhoods. This book was written by Alex Caine a Canadian Author/ informant it is mostly about his rise in OC world and how his testimony led to the arrest of several bad dudes. Great read highly recommend. Gave this book to a friend and didn't get it back... bought it a second time. After reading above book I wanted more of the same so picked up... No Angel , My harrowing Undercover Journey to the Inner Circle of the Hells Angels. This book was written by Jay Dobyns an American ATF Special Agent. I think A an E did a special on this guy again Great Read. |

^^^ yeah I picked it up didn't enjoy it nearly as much. My memory is a little foggy but when Alex Cain saw the mob digging graves for him and the cop he was with an thy were deciding weather to run or not. Intense!
