You know about 50% of the time I don't agree with this guy but this time, he's the correct. |

I had one larger than this on my calf one time when a guy rolled on it with his knee cap. Didn't hurt and about an hour later it had completely disappeared. I don't think it was that serious. |

If he was okay with it, Doc did the right thing letting him go on. |

They took the right precautions, and Hominick showed he was willing to continue. Plus it was a good fight that needed a conclusive ending |

I once took an elbow right on my cheekbone and it swelled up like a baseball. People were looking at me and freaking out, but I was 100% fine. I saw all of the crazy swelling out of the corner of my eye, but it didn't hurt at all, and there was no serious damage at all. Sometimes shots cause weird swelling. I think Dana hit the nail on the head - a reason for stopping the fight would be the cuts and swelling around his eye. |

it is not all that dangerous to the fighters health, it looks bad, but its not in a medical sense. Wouldn't of liked too see what went down if aldo had of split it though. |

jkennedy - It was a great call but BJM worked really hard to get this fight stopped. Actually it was just the opposite. The doctor asked Big John what he thought, and BJ told him he thought he should let it continue. |

jkennedy - but BJM worked really hard to get this fight stopped. <img src="/images/phone/post_tag.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/> I'd like to know how you came to that conclusion, the doc even asked BJM's opinion, and BJM said let him fight. I agree with the decision to let him continue, however I think even the hematoma was screaming at Hominick to pass the damn guard in the last few minutes of the fight, I swear it grew a mouth and was telling Mark to pass, but Mark wasn't listening. |

The boxer is hasim Rahman, and the fight was stopped. He was up against evander Holyfield or Lennox Lewis I think.

It looked worse than it actually was. Good Call by Dr. The cut below his eye was worse because it was closing up and he could hardly see. Homminick showed so much heart and he tried like hell to finish the fight. So how you could not have 100% respect for this guy. Can't wait to see him fight again. |
