Rick Story In for Injured Anthony Johnson Against Nate Marquardt at UFC on Versus 4 Anthony Johnson had been expected to welcome Nate Marquardt to the UFC's welterweight division, but an injury has forced him out of the June 26th bout. Rick Story will step up and take his place in the headliner for UFC on Versus 4. Story is coming off a big upset win over Thiago Alves at UFC 130 last Saturday. Marquardt, a long-time contender in the UFC's middleweight division, is cutting down to 170lbs after a decision win over Dan Miller at UFC 128. No word on the nature of Johnson's injury. Johnson has twice been forced to pull out of UFC bouts with knee injuries. He pulled out of a bout with Matt Brown that had been scheduled for The Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale in 2009 and out of a bout with John Howard that had been scheduled for UFC on Versus 1 in March of 2010. |

Damn, quick turnaround and one hell of a tough fight for Story. Getting Nate in his first cut back to 170 might be a good thing for him though. |

MMApostle - Marquardt by being much more powerful, story won't be able to use his boring ass gameplan. I wouldn't say he is much more powerful. Story is a tough dude. |

I heard an interview with him on SIrius saying he didnt even cut weight for his last fight at 185, so i dont think he is going to have a huge problem at 170 |

I have to agree. When i heard he called out Thiago, I wanted Thiago to smash him. When I saw that Thiago STILL isn't focussing enough on wrestling defense, I eased up. When I say Thiago cheering as if he won, I was glad he lost. But Story taking on Marquardt on this short of notice is showing he has some fucking heart and is searious about wanting to step up and prove himself against the best. I'm on the wagon, war Story. |

nate doesn't walk around that heavy, he may look big for a MW but in reality he's one of the lighter guys. story actually might be stronger than nate. |

K-Dub-"T" -QuintonRampagedMeFromBehind - Rick just bit off more than he can chew. Sonnen and Okami are both very large men compared to Story though. |
