If light directly observed, changes the form of light from particles to wave, what would happen if you watched the experiment on video tape? Can light change function in the past due to observation of the future? Is the effect of observation limited by time in this case? |

NOT LETTUCE - observing the event will interfere with the wave/particle... there is no way to observe something without messing with it in some way. This. You can't "see" particles with the naked eye because light actually alters the course of the particle. By trying to find it's exact position you alter it's speed and vice versa. |

I believe the issue is that the experiment is done in a closed environment such that light other than that used in the experiment does not enter the system in which the experiment is performed. In order to "observe", it requires light. Therefore observing the experiment changes the results. I think there is some article on Wikipedia explaining this called "cat in the box" or something. You know the cat is alive and inside the box but any act you take to confirm that the cat is in the box will kill the cat. So every time you open the box all you see is a dead cat, but you know through means other than directly opening the box, that you can verify that the cat is in the box and alive. Also, man who look at two slits at same time get cock-eyed. |
