one Marine named "River" or something told me that he trained with Rickson Gracie (pronounced Rickson without the (H) sound) in LA. another guy said the UFC was fake and that him and Segal could kick all their asses because they've been in real streetfights. he was a fat piece of crap. |

Here is a great story and I hope my friend won't be angry for telling it. A friend of mine and I were at a club and this guy saw one of our Jiu-Jitsu shirts and the shit began. He began telling us he was training at the gracie academy for the last 5 years (I had been there for 3 and never seen him) and he was Royces son best friend (Royce didn't have a son yet) and he was a Purple belt. He want on and on telling us how he parties with Royce all the time on the weekends (Royce was already married and settled down). I don't remember what the last draw was but my friend gave me the look and just shot a double on the guy, slammed him, mounted him and proceded to beat the shit out of him until the bouncers came over and booted the guy (They liked us there) :) Anyway, that is just one of MANY, Many Chris and my friend stories. Hope you enjoyed it. The guy got what he deserved. |

Lance Henry- I guess people that don't train never get in fights? The media can talk all they want but I think the fact that we all train prevent a lot of fights from happening. Now we know what is really out there. Here is another quick one to tell you how strongly I avoid fights. Monday (yes this Monday) I am going over Ortega Highway (a windy mountainish road in south OC) and I make a right turn. A guy from the lane to my left makes a right also but in to the inside lane that I am in. He is in a big box work truck and I get squeezed in to the curb (I was obveously not in my Expedition). Anyway, I wait till he goes by and then I continue to drive. As I pass the guy I glance toward him and shake my head like you are an idiot (but say nothing). I am now looking in my mirrior and some dude giving me the finger and honking at me screaming. I was laughing to my self thinking...WOW! This guy cut me off and now he is freaking out. Well this is a 2 lane highway and very narrow so I continue to mind my own buisness and listen to my tunes. Like 5 minutes later I look in my mirrior and the guy is still giving me the finger and yelling but this time he is pointing out the window telling me to pull over. I am thinking to myself...This guy better have a gun :) Well as the lane opens up a bit he passes me on the left (on the wrong side of the road). and cuts me off stopping in front of me and half way on the shoulder. He gets out of his car and proceedes to come back to my car (to find me standing there waiting for him). He came kind of fast and didn't seem to slow down so I almost just blasted him because I thought he was just going to rush me. As he got to me he began yelling at me because I gave him a dirty look. 2 other workers got out of his car and started coming back. At this point I thought it was on for sure. I said tell your friends to get back in the car and "lets do this". He said "they aren't going to do anything". So I said "fine quit talking and lets dance fucker" I said "You cut me off and flipped me off, and told me to pull over so come on" He continued to yell so I asked him why he asked me to pull over and he said because he wanted to discuss this... LOL! LOL! You pull me over get me out of my car yelling like you want to fight so we can discuss this? What the hell? There are cars driving by honking beacuse it looks like we are going to fight. I said either step in to the dirt or get back in your car and go home and have a good night. He said I have your licens plate number. I said what are you going to do call the cops and tell them you cut some guy off and yelled at him and pulled him over "to discuss it" and he wanted to fight you? The guy was like 5'11 240 chubby and I was thinking "hmmm, it has been a while since I got a win and this guy is a sure thing :) Well that was the end and maybe I didn't avoid the fight al together but I really could have just bombed on the guy. I let him talk. Back in the day it would have been on the second he steped out of the car. Sorry if it was a disapointing story but at 31 it was the highlight of my month. |

Hey WESTSIDE, didn't Mark Laimon worry about pounding that shit talker dude and getting sued?? Since you are both highly trained martial artists you'd think he'd call his lawyer and sue your ass off since he didn't start the fight. I mean, talking out your ass is hardly justification for that kind of ass whoopin' IMO. BTW, I had an almost identical road rage situation happen to me this last Monday!! He's lucky he was older and gray headed or I would have fucked him up without hesitation!! |

I hear this shit all the time and you find it all over the place. The post that disturbs me is that Marc Laimon beat the shit out of a guy beacues he was at a bar making shit up. If everyone got beat up for making up stories at a bar we would all have black eyes. If this is true I really have lost some respect for Laimon, if it isn't, westsidestrangler is just as bad as the others for making shit up. I hope I just misunderstood all of it. |

My friend and I were blue belts at the time and there was really know worry of being sued because the guys at the club would have been like "We have no idea who it was" We really never started fights but at that point in time we never EVER avoided them. If someone talked shit or tried to be tuff WHAM! it was on. I swear we probably had 40-50 fights in one year and there are some really funny memorable ones. Remember we were young, newish tough guys, and we are much more mature now ;) My friend will probably freak if he reads this. I may get armbarred again :) NOT! |
