How can you people equate legal gun owning Americans with gambling and other vices? This is no business move, this is a political move. Some liberal dip sheet in the UFC is pushing an anti gun agenda on the fans. |

They seem to be really full of hatred for anyone who doesn't agree with them politically. I'm sure you're a big supporter of the "free market." And higher taxes and more quotas and more gov regulation. |

Vitor29 -grimsgrindgg -So you assholes DO care then? Or were you just not bright enough to realize the saying is "COULDN'T care less"?Authority Figure - I could care less. Their network, their call. If someone COULDN'T care less, why would they comment at all? |

bytagro -The Cooler -bytagro -The Patriot - This is no business move, this is a political move. Some liberal dip sheet in the UFC is pushing an anti gun agenda on the fans. Saying that what you do is ok because another person does it is a logical fallacy. It's also a very popular excuse with kids. The ad hominems I'll ignore. You know how Luke or maybe Obi felt a disturbance in the force, like thousands of souls suddenly being extinguished? That's how I feel about internet insult contests. I can literally hear the thousands of souls screaming insults at each other right now on the internet. They screech at me like the forced laughs of a thousand art house patrons. It's worse than when I'm eating at Golden Corral and I realize that I can hear the chewing/slurping all around me. I will say that statist really isn't that complicated or obscure of a word. Liberal/Conservative(more accurately leftist/rightist) is a false paradigm fed to you by the World's elites. They're busy playing good cop/bad cop for your amusement. The only division that truly matters is the one between the statist and the individualist. I know that you believe you represent good and the "other side" represents absolute evil, but the World actually exists in many shades of grey. And if you want to call yourself a liberal I'd be glad to prove that you are not. The only thing liberal about people like you is that you believe in a liberal application of laws and regulations. The more the better. There is nothing "liberal" about someone who wants to use the power of the state to create their dream of utopia. Also, cheese is the opposite of milk, and sour cream is somewhere in between. Just thought I'd respond in kind. If given the choice of anarchy or living in a totalitarian state I would always choose the anarchist state. Most people who call themselves anarchists are anything but...they're crypto commies. |

"I see capitalists rationally arguing using economics and cause-and-effect logic, but I rarely come across liberals who will rebut with the same methods! Instead, they snarl and "take pity" upon the "poor, ignorant, brainwashed neocon", who "are sadly as dull as a brick." Isn't that in and of itself an unintelligent response to a well-formed argument? I hate to sound like I'm generalizing, but when I witness and participate in debates, I can't ever get straight, reasonable answers from the self-proclaimed liberals. I'm ready to listen, and I WANT to listen to their side of the story and learn how they arrived at their own conclusions, but they're not helping me understand their point of view by generalizing and insulting those who disagree with their beliefs. Honestly, if liberals really want to get their way, they NEED to back up their arguments with REASONING, rather than alienating their opponent (and likely any bystanders), which will turn them off even more." |

bytagro - I didn't say that statists are making hateful comments, I said statists always rely on negativity, emotion, and personal insults while using your post as an example. The observation is independent of this site and I didn't confine myself to just the UG. You can read as much into it as you wish, but my words were clear. You obviously identify yourself as a statist, otherwise you wouldn't have said the following. "you said that 'statists' are making hateful comments, thus implying that one side is better than the other" One side is better than the other. It is self evident. The side that believes freedom is better than slavery. As an example if you change the word statist to Nazi then it would be clear that you're a Nazi sympathizer. Leaving it as statist it is clear that you're a statist sympathizer. If you don't believe there are "World Elites" then you haven't read much history. Nearly all of history is comprised of the powerful scheming to become more powerful, across all cultures and continents. Power vacuums have a very short life and there are no lack of ambitious/unscrupulous people. "all I did was correct your erroneous assumption as well as rightfully ridicule paranoid people who proclaim that a private company is making business moves because of some liberal conspiracy without offering any evidence what so ever, that is all" "All you did" was insult a professional fighter in a highly negative and emotional way because he disagrees with you politically. "All I did" was point it out. "btw words and definitions actually do have accepted meanings it's not just whatever you can make it up to be" You're right. lib·er·al ? ?[lib-er-uhl, lib-ruhl] adjective favoring or permitting freedom of action, especially with respect to matters of personal belief or expression: a liberal policy toward dissident artists and writers. The classical definition. The types of liberals America's founding fathers were. Few of the left's actions over the last 100 years have been in favor of "freedom of action." And you don't tolerate dissidents well at all. |

Now I want to watch Pulp Fiction. |

I owned the fuck out of my boss the other day when she said the company I work for's owners were "very liberal". I told her they may vote for supposed liberals but not letting men wear earrings is absolutely the opposite of liberal. She was not pleased. I don't even wear earrings or have visible tattoos. I just like pointing out liberal bullshit and lies. It would be one thing if were saw customers/clients in person but were on the phone for fucks sake, who care. Fake liberals, that's who. |

I dont understand why this is such a big deal. Who cares? So they dont want gun ads promoted live on their network. That's fine, there are 1000 other companies lining up to sponcer fighters. |

guns and ammo depots like the sex, drugs, gambling are shady businesses if you look worldwide. guns an dammo are forbidden in my country and so many others. so why promote it? not sayin ammo and guns depots are shady business in the usa. but for sure as hell would be in my country. about drugs. drugs is illegal in the USA. however weed in some shops is legal in my country. while if you would buy weed in america it would be illegal. you see were i am going? UFC wants to be global. there for need you sponsors that are global, think global. cars, t-shirts. that is fine in every country. so for the one who said i am dumb. i am not dumb i think global. while the people that are for ammo and guns just think america america america!!! we lose our freedom!!! |

Nate 'Rock' Quarry - I find it interesting that the comparison is always made between basketball players and football players saying that they aren't allowed to pepper their jerseys with logos.Great post. And you're right, you should not get into fighting to get rich. However; if anyone should get rich it should include the guys taking the punches IMO. |
