Kenneth's nephew. Kevin and Kyle's cousin. Shotokan founder Gichin's great-grand nephew, I think blackbelt in Kenpo from Dana Goodsen Kru in Muay Thai from Master Toddy state kickboxing champion bb in Shotokan and Judo too, iirc good boxer really good teacher |

Eventually, he won a national Golden Gloves title in the 119 lb. Weight class. I've heard that he is a good boxing trainer as well. Regarding Bruce Kawano, my friend who is His assistant trainer told me Kawano is a very technical when it comes to techniques and footwork. Personally, I've seen Kawano drop guy's at the Blaisdell, but not in the ring lol. |

I would also add; Haku Kahanohano - that guy causes calf muscle tissue to snap, and breaks arms and legs with kicks, knees and elbows. Some people might punch harder and quicker but get anywhere near kicking, elbow and knee range of him and it will be painful. Last I heard he was still training and kicking the shit out of challenger's shins and legs. I had a bunch of underground video of him fighting in Makiki Park, Kapiolani Park, couple ring fights and at the Tae kwon Do academy on University. Last I heard he was still training a select few. |

A few years back, Bruce used to bounce at a club along with a bunch of large Soles. Funny how a lot of drunks would pick a fight with Bruce because he is small in stature and wears long hair....then get pummeled to the ground. |

HwnStriker - Jjmtg, was Haku teaching Muay Thai kickboxing at the time? How old is he right now? Yes, he was. When the tae kwon do school was not running classes he used the space. He was younger than me but a very good stand up striker. Hmmm, how old?, ummm, I would guess just turning 40 or a little over than right now? Can't be sure but he was younger than me by a few years but light years ahead when it came to fighting stand up. Gloves or no gloves. He kicked my classmates shin so hard it blew out the calf muscle and had to be surgically reattached. I seen him fight all fighters, san shou, tae kwon do etc. I heard he fought/sparred Dennis Alexio in his prime, under kickboxing (no clinching, knees or elbows) rules and did well. I have a underground closed door fight of him sparring the same LA Kung Fu guys I sparred in Kapiolani Park at the Thai Festival. He kicks very hard. Very hard. |

How old is he right now? Originally I heard he took kickboxing somewhere, then he met my muay thai master Kham. He is like the first generation of students for Master Kham when he came to Hawaii and all they cared about was kicking people's shins, body and head to death. Like I said, glove or no glove, on the streets, in Makiki Park, in Matson containers in Kalihi or at Sand Island, all challengers were accepted.Stand up only though. No grappo. Heck sometimes when I first started we used to go to Makiki Park to practice fighting on grass (day and night) and people used to watch us and then ask us to spar. Some people were good, some sucked, some were drunk locals, Samoans, ex-prison inmates, some local trouble makers, some micronesians, chinese kung fu guys, it was fun. Haku was the first student to open his own school. Another student that came after Haku was Danny Steele. There is a muay thai school called Lapahoehoe Muay Thai? at UH Manoa classrooms that is another direct student under Master Kham. That is like 3rd generation. Then my class/group. |

Awesome man Where's he training/coaching at now? Any chance that guy Sandhu(sp?) trained/trains with him? I think I remember reading here that he had a scrappy rep in Makiki
