Its not surprising - clearly Wales have the slight edge at the moment but its rankings, what do you expect. They dont get together and say, "How shall we order teams?" its based on points etc and Wlaes didnt beat england by enough to go ahead of them especially after England put the bosh on Ireland. You have to bear in mind though that this wales slam team was one made tackle away from being runner up to a green england squad in this years 6N. Clearly we are building to a good lions team though. |

LordSeano - more than just a tackle IF strettle had actually placed down, and IF Farrell had converted after then Wales still would have won by an 11 point difference. Yep its still pretty close but if you want to start retroactively going back over instances in game the difference could easily be more, or less, depending on your bias. |

I agree with you there were a number of close moments - the tip tackle on North, a breakaway try from Lawes being a spaz etc My point was more to do with the fact that this Wales team that is (rightly) being lauded for winning a slam very nearly finished runner up to a grand slam winnign england side that was expected to place 4th at best by many pundits |

LOL WTF are you chatting?? England are only above Wales due to the fact Wales played more games in the RWC and lost more due to playing South Africa, a Semi Final and a 3rd place playoff against the Aussies where the points count as double. Wales were the deserving winners of the 6N and Grand Slam, We didnt conceed a try in games against England, Italy and France......This Wales team will only get stronger and Stronger.....The world should be scared! |

Englands smashing of Ireland was what kept Wales below them. Poor Irish had a rough tourney. |

We won at Twickenham yet are still ranked below. depsite doing the grand slam, and getting to the semi-final of the world cup! IRB rankings have always been bull shit!! |
