In this clip, they discuss what's harder, defending the belt or winning it. "I think coming up when you're trying to take the belt, you've really have nothing to lose," said Chuck Liddell. I don't get the whole belt & title shot thing anymore... years ago the belts to me as a fan actually ment something but now, so many oddball fights & matchups occur, the belts exchange hands so rapidly and marketing emphasis on "title shots" just completely turns me off, as do any form of "rankings". As we've seen going all the way back to Cro Cop & Gonzaga anything can & will happen in MMA as the sport as evolved to the point where their is so much parity at the elite level, that when it comes to awesome matchups, those are the fights I plan to watch and if something amazing and new happens, that's about all that excites me when it comes to what the UFC has to offer. :-\ You have ignored this user.
